Foreman Jay Blades and leather miracle worker Suzie Fletcher reveal what it was like to return a priceless keep-sake box to its former glory for the widow of a refugee saved from Nazi Germany. They also reveal how the show has changed their lives.

Jay Blades presence is the heart and soul of the Repair Shop. I am shocked to have read such mean spirited and ignorant comments saying he doesnt do anything and impugning his character. He is also highly skilled at furniture repair and his life story is an inspiration. It is clear that his colleagues and guests on the show hold him in high esteem. If you don't like watching him please watch something else.

😊Very clear that Jay sources materials for the experts, as well as practices his own trade and handles general upkeep. Having been an industrial purchasing agent for a time, I can attest that sourcing of modern, let alone antique, materials can be quite challenging.
