First memories of my life were in the King Dome. Saw the Red Sox and the Yankees play there in 1978. I was 2. I still have the ticket stubs and don't know how that memory is in my mind. I don't remember another thing in life until maybe 4 or 5 years old. We sat on the first base side and I remember my dad carried me down the line to watch Goose in the bullpen. Thurmon Munson was catching. Luis Tiant pitched and I remember how you could see all the wraps and braces on his knee. I moved to Seattle later in life and saw the Kingdome get demolished. That was a sad day. Safeco is a great stadium, but I have a lot of great memories of the Kingdome.

We still miss Griffey Jr. He made our Mariners watchable again when he was still with the Mariners in the 90s

I have to say as young Yankees fan heartbroken in 1995 (obviously the sting went away soon after lol) that was the first time personally I grew to really like/respect an opposing player who really killed us all series. There was many ofcoarse in that 95 series Johnson, Griffey, Buhner... But to me Edgar Martinez was the guy that truely beat us. Edgar seemed unstoppable by the end of the series. As a kid from that moment I respected and followed Edgar's career ever since. I remember being so excited because I misheard the Tino Martinez trade at first and thought we got Edgar Martinez. I remember the feeling of absolute dread when Edgar Martinez stepped up to the plate against McDowell. As a Yankees fan at that point we just knew Edgar was going to beat us. Edgar was the last person Yankees fans wanted to see batting in a key moment in that series.

I love revisiting this season 🥳 What an amazing time in the city! Couldn’t walk by a car..store or home that didn’t have the game on. That dream team..the “salamis”...fantastic times!

Jr had the most pure, beautiful swing and yet I haven't seen anyone else try to replicate it. Can anyone share a successful baseball player here in the states or abroad that hits like him? Also, would any hitting experts care to comment on any potential flaws? I was always taught not to move your bat or hips around as the pitch is being delivered. I guess that proves when you're talented, you can do what you want.

Every player has flaws. Ted Williams had best swing, ever. Then Will Clark, Rafael Palmeiro, then Griffey Jr.

I have suggestion. How about doing compilation of the funniest “Ralph Kramden” Gyrations by Managers & Players, please? Thank you.
