Jay Cutler Chris Bumstead will NOT retire this year!

Many (including me) have speculated that Chris Bumstead will announce his retirement from competition onstage after winning his 6th consecutive Classic Physique Olympia title on October 12. 4X Mr. Olympia completely disagrees, and tells us exactly why!

If Cbum didn't say he was the newest Gymshark "athlete" I would have also said he was retiring this year. It's hard walking away when you've been on top for so long, especially when he sees guys like Breon still performing at a high level at an older age.

To be honest, Chris has been underwhelming for the past 2 years. His physique looks tired and I thought Dino pushed him really hard last year. The scars to the legs are quite visible as well.

Not sure about that - I think Chris has been getting better, I don't see much change in Ramon over the last 2 years

@@RonHarrisMuscle Im a big cbum fan, but honestly, what do you mean? If Chris is getting better and better, than isnt Ramon as well? How else could ramon pushed chris the hardest this last O, even according to the judges, if hes not improving much? Ramon won the back double, and rightfully so. That used to be one cbum untouchable poses, since 2020. Just look at cbums front or back double in 2020, even 2023 ramon wasent beating that.. I see 2020 cbum as his best version to date, definitely the widest and biggest back hes ever brought. Even with the torn bi, arguably his best look. Its no insult to cbum though. Looking closely, idk what you could say has improved since 2020? and on the other hand, Ramon didnt even place in the olympia until 2021, placing 5th. And has made massive improvements the last couple years, with only this very last olympia, being truely competative between the two. Id argue ramon won both front and back double. Besides breon, no one came close to before. Ramon beats chris in many areas, besides lat flair (nobody beats chris in lat flair). I still have chris winning this year and probably every year he choses to compete, but IS ALSO true he has many glaring flaws, and that the past couple years, Ramon has had more improvements. Which I think is obvious based on past pose comparisons and placings alone. Chris quad and hamstring tears dont hurt his look much, but are noticeable asymetry, and his biceps genetically look as if they were both torn. While ramon has nearly perfect muscle insertions, seperetion and roundness, but he lacks the larger upper body structure of chris

@@johnnewell8508 Chris has brought up his back and to a lesser extent his arms over the last 3-4 years and has added about 10 pounds of stage weight. When you say Ramon has improved, what do you mean specifically? I'm not trolling, I'm genuinely asking.

Chris bumstead should go open bodybuilding. If he doesn't, he won't be king of the mountain, open bodybuilding sandow is the only one that matters.

I get what your saying, but not sure this will stay true. The sport had more appeal when guys shaped like cbum were winning, and started to lose appeal when it got to mass monsters. Cbum has as many followers as ARNOLD but is young, still competing, and has zero movies or political career lol. Cbum will go down as one of the most influential bodybuilders in history, if isn't already, to the younger generations

I get what you are saying, but Arnold schwarzenegger is king of the mountain, 7x Mr Olympia, and Chris bumstead is not, Arnold is open bodybuilding and Chris bumstead is classic physicue champion, Arnold never made any excuses, never complained, he just did it. . Chris bumstead wants to be the big shark in a small pond. If chris really want to test him self he should go open bodybuilding.

​@@johnsotelo3125 Agree to disagree. Chris and arnolds popularity over a phil heath, jay cutler, ronnie, hadi, derek, etc, is the fact that they are much smaller than todays open guys. They expose bodybuilding to regular people, and grow the sport as a whole, and grow their brand far beyond just a small die hard group. I dont think arnold limited his success to the bodybuilding stage, and arguably is one of his smaller achievements. Phrasing it as chris ducking a challenge seems like missing the point to me, when hes literally at the top of the world.Vast majority of people dont want him to add 15 pounds with a worse midsection, it would only hurt his career and legacy

Chris bumstead is not even close to Arnold schwarzenegger, Chris bumstead makes alot of excuses, his injuries, stress. Chris bumstead wines alot and that why Chris will never be great , Chris bumstead will always be a side show . Everyone will remember Arnold schwarzenegger. Arnold is a legend. Chris bumstead is not.
