I had heard of jay, because I worked in a record store, sadly I never listened to his music until a year and a half ago. the weird thing was I saw his "whats in my bag" and based on the interview and his selections being things I liked, I started listening to his music and watched the Docu. I never knew him, but I am saddened about what happened to him. those last two songs he did seemed like he was about to enter a new phase and style of songwriting. Even though there is quite a lot of material he left behind, I feel a great sense of loss because I am sure he was about to record new songs I would have loved even more than what I have heard. he died while still on his way up. So, without ever having known Jay, I feel like I have lost so much great music that was still about to happen.

Hey mrs. Shutt. I’m a fan of jay who was only 3 years old when he passed away. I discovered his music a couple of years ago, and now, he’s my favorite artist of all time. I hope you know that his music and your music are still impacting people, even after he left this mortal coil.🖤

Found this video 7+ years ago when I first found out about Jays music through Nardwar! He seemed relatable so I took a deep dive into KZbin watching every live video completely blown away video after video! This video always seems to make me smile and get a lil teary eyed. His music will live on forever!
