I love Billy Joel’s collection but I absolutely love the HD Road King Classic (I wish they were still made in the US). The simplicity, the spoked wheels, the white wall tires, and the avalanche of aftermarket parts. Such a joy and beauty to behold. For my retirement, I purchased a brand new 2012 Road King Classic (blue/black) that I configured with my preferences. It had the touring trunk, the HD GPS, the BOOM audio twin speakers, adjustable backrest, etc. Unfortunately, in 2017, the divorce lawyers required a sacrifice and my dream motorcycle was lost on the chopping block. But I digress. I’m 56 years young and have been riding since I was 13. I’ve lost count of the number of motorcycles I’ve had the pleasure to ride and own. Having said that, my 2012 Road King Classic was the best riding experience I’ve had on a motorcycle. I’m retired now and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to own one again, but at the very least I have my fond experiences. No one can ever take those away. If you own one, enjoy the good times and make lots of memories.

Billy Joel has gotten so bloody old! Not just in the way he looks, understandable he is 70. But in the way he behaves and sounds too. Jay is only one year younger, but the vibe he puts out is of a more vital lively person. Billy seems like he’s taken a day out from an old people’s home! It’s like he’s another person altogether from whom he was just a couple of decades ago.

Both those guys are my age. You have to take into consideration BJ has been in a few accidents and he has passed many an empty bottle. I remember when he used to play at the Action House in Island Park. The same place that Al Demotto had his US Senate Victory Party. Billy Joel used to go to Nathan’s in Oceanside on Tuesday Nights.
