Panthers do not sit in chairs; they sprawl luxuriously on the carpet. I was there at the time the interior was being reupolstered . The upholstery was reupolstered by the original guy that did the upholstery the first time back in 1969. Joe Perez started doing upholstery back in the late 50s for George Barris. The building he worked out of was next to the Barris shop and actually connected to the Barris shop separated by a wall. Joe Perez is a family friend. He is still doing upholstery now in 2021. He is now 83 years old born in Navolato Sinaloa Mexico. He came to the US in the early 50s and attended high school in the LA area.

But my wife said, "Hey, there's Jay Leno," and, thinking mainly of "Jay Leno's Garage" (although I've always loved all your stuff), I flashed back on what my brother had told me about his encounter with you on Mulholland Highway near Malibu/Thousand Oaks, and how kind you were in discovering his vintage BMW.
