34:19 Can I Get A... is not your record either Jay-Z lool. It was originally Ja Rule's record, that he was going to do solo, Ja Rule wrote the hook and gave Jay-Z the flow for the song too. Ja Rule said when he was working on his album, he got the beat and began jotting down his thoughts and putting them together. Jay-Z heard it and was like, ‘This is dope. Let’s do it together.’ So Jay-Z got on it, put his touches on it and threw Amil on it Irv Gotti said Jay-Z was in his office at Def Jam recordings vibing to the song and Jay-Z said 'Yo what's this' Irv Gotti said Oh it's a record I'm doing with Jah and Jah gotta hook, Ja Rule then rapped the hook. Then after Jay-Z left the office he calls Irv Gotti five minutes later and told Irv Gotti to let him get the record. Irv Gotti was like, 'What record?' and Jay-Z said "The record y'all doing niggas, this shit hot" so Irv Gotti put Jay-Z on the phone with Ja Rule and Ja Rule gave Jay-Z the flow and hook of the song. I think on a moral level, I have no respect for anyone who took Jay’s side. Jay z was wrong period, he went after Nas’s baby mama, talked about his child and then tried to battle him on record. He lost way more than a rap battle, he lost all his morals.

Honestly if Jay had this war with anyone else, nobody would even remember it💯 NaS is at the top of the food chain & he's the only reason this battle was so legendary cuz even tho Jay was a multiplatinum artist, his beef wit NaS is the only reason he's held in such high regards cuz nobody was calling Jay no goat back then but folks was calling NaS one including Jay himself 💯

its funny how Nas fans declare him the winner of this battle back in the day, The silver lining i give to those that love Nas is that he didn't take the battle lightly. He attempted to hold his own and for the most part as an emcee he did that. Jayz is on a different mental level than Nas a different street level. Time has shown this on every level. Nas is the neighborhood kid that a lot of people that wanted to make it can identify with on a personal level. They relate to him. Jayz represents a different echelon of hustler and business. NO room for the Dames at a point. A person that recognizes he grows past a rocafella group. And takes a solo career while lifting up the Kaynes, Rihannas, Beyonces< J coles, jay electronicas. There is no equal conversation. bosses know bosses. From the streets to business you cant compare the two. It's not personal, its business. Wishing nothing but the best to Nas in closing
