It's crazy that Nas dropped Ether on Jay's birthday... Imagine Jay Z going to the club to celebrate his birthday and, and the DJ keeps playing Ether, and people are rocking to it. That's some Art of War sh*t

People say, Nas was just name calling but, people don't peep the genius of what he said on Ether. Every single line was a head basher. He read Jay-Z like a children's book. This is who you are. Your money means nothing when your character is wack. Jay-Z got famous by being a sidekick. Nas debut album had no guest features and was a classic. People was mad at Nas for not getting on his joint. Nas read out all that trash. Nas broke up Roc-a-Fella. He even called it while he was doing it. "Is it Dame Diddy, Dame Daddy or, Dame Dummy oh I get it, you Biggie and he's Puffy Ew." He knew Jay would hear that and "Takeover" Dame's label. Nas made Jay-Z step up from artist to billionaire. "And now I smile like a proud dad watching his only son that made it" Nas was way too cold for what people really want to give him credit for. Then the next track was, Hope you got your gun.. Which people think was about beefing but it was a message. You keep playing around and you gon need to go back to jacking and selling dope. Stillmatic was simply outstanding.

FACTS!!! Ras was legit one of my favorite Rapper Back in the Day.He was So Super Underrated to the point. I think a lot of Rappers at the Time were to Scared to get on a Song with him Because they didn't wanna be outshined. Especially back then when New York was Still looked at as being the most lyrical. Ras was respected By New York MCs & Hung out with a lot of them in New York But They Still wouldn't Do Songs With him,and the ones that Did Ras Outshined them on their own Song. Ras Kass was truly ahead of his Time.

I remember hearing Understandable Smooth with the Anita Baker sample for the first time on the radio and couldn't wait for the song to end to find out who the artist was. Ras Kass sounded like an East Coast rapper so I assumed it was someone from NY, only to discover later on that he was from the West. To this day he's one of my favourites.

Think about how powerful Jay’s Summer Jam performance was. Performing Takeover for the first time when nobody heard it. He and the Roc are at full strength. The Prodigy pics on the screen. Bringing Michael Jackson out. Dropping The Blueprint 2 months later. For the whole world especially NYC to immediately side with Nas over Ether. Stillmatic wasn’t even out yet just shows the magnitude of what Nas did. And he changed the hip hop lingo forever. “You got Ethered” we all know what that means now

The part that made me laugh on Ether, was when Nas called him a "Taebo ho", in reference to Jay Z taking martial arts classes, thinking he can fight, at a time when Billy Blanks was teaching Taebo Aerobics to women, it was not meant for fighting.

I always felt Jay Z became a music industry pawn. You can tell there was a shift after Tupac and Biggie died...Which is when I stopped really paying attention to music, even as a little kid I seen it. That was when Jay Z was black balling cats like DMX. Nas was to big and wise to cancel tho...I think Jay Z thought because Nas isn't considered a freestyler/Battle rapper Jay Z thought he could end Nas career on wax. I feel like my feelings have been validated on Jay Z being a pawn seeing as his career actually got bigger after losing the beef. At no time in HipHop history did that ever happen before this beef...All the way back to Krs one and Mc Shan.
