@@fellowshitposter not exactly, Ginga (not Ginga S) did have two opening songs changing after the half-way point with Ginga no Hasha being the first song, which got replaced by Ginga no Uta. Ginga S in contrast only had a single opening song that changed which verses were used in the opening after the halfway point, that being Eiyuu no Uta. Ultraman Retsuden was it's own series of basically recap episodes. Similar such between main series recap miniseries were Shin Ultraman Retsuden, Ultraman Orb: The Chronicle, Zero The Chronicle, New Generation Chronicle, Chronicle Zero & Geed, Chronicle Z: Heroes' Odyssey, Chronicle D, and New Generation Stars was the most recent one, airing between New Generation Dyna Ultraman Decker and Ultraman Blazar.

Comparing Ultraman to Superman is actually correct, he is basically Japans answer to Kryptons last son. And Ultramans influence is kinda gigantic, even on media outside of his home country. The cartoon series "Ben10" for example was partially inspired by Ultraman, with the watch which transforms the main character Ben into his different alien forms blinking red right before he is forced to change back into a human just like Ultraman. And the homage went even further when Ben recieved one of his strongest Alien Forms in his TV movie in the form of "Waybig", who was just straight up a direct Ultraman stand-in who used the same attacks as Ultraman. The other famous series which wouldn't exist without Ultraman is Pokemon. A lot of the gen 1 designs and even the catching concept were directly taken from Ultraman, which even includes the designs of stuff like the traditional Pokeball. They even had a line of Pokemon directly based on Ultraman in the form of Staryu and Starmy, who, however, got banned from appearing in the show early on for a long time because the Pokemon anime actually used the sounds of Ultraman for these Pokemon - without Studio Tsubarayas consent. Another famous example is the main character of "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX" named Judai. Judais deck was entirely super hero inspired, and both of his biggest ace cards in the manga and the anime version of YGO GX called "Elemental Hero Neos" and "Elemental Hero Terra-Firma" respectively were based on Ultraman.

To expand on Ultraman being a japanese Superman because i find it pretty interesting Like superman, Ultraman is an alien who comes to earth to protect it, both live on earth as humans and change to protect people from evil because they know humans can become better using the energy on the sun to fuel their powers The differences are what i find most interesting While superman acts as a Moses allegory Ultraman acts more as a guardian angel only appearing when when hes really needed, and unlike the last son of krypton there is still a planet of ultras who fly around acting as space cops like if krypton created the green lantern corp

you forgot to mention how the basic concept of Pokemon as a franchise - monsters in a pocket-sized ball - is based on Ultraseven's capsule monsters that he used in his show periodically when he's unable to transform. basically Pokemon not just owes Ultraman for their monster designs, but for their entire premise

Little bit of a fact for you guys. Ultraman: Towards the Future was actually a joint Japanese-Australian production. Despite being filmed in Australia, it was never released there. It only aired in America and Japan. And in Japan, it was known as Ultraman Great.

Ultraman is one of the childhood of most of us here. You might see Ultraman as childish or for kids, but surprisingly Ultraman story is so deep once you truly look into it. When I was a kid, I only see cool giant fight against monsters but once I grown up and could understand the story, it was much deeper than I thought. My favourite Ultraman is Ultraman Cosmos and all the movies of Ultraman Cosmos are the best movies I have ever seen and more better than most of MCU and DC movies.

Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad was based on the 1993 series Denkou Choujin Gridman (aka Gridman the Hyper Agent), which was created by Tsuburaya Productions for their 30th anniversary. While I know many people have nostalgia for the American adaptation, it REALLY pales in compassion to the classic that is Gridman; a story reflective of a changing world and the creativity within it. Ever since 2018, the popular anime studio TRIGGER has been working on series that act as a sequel to the OG, those being SSSS.GRIDMAN (2018), SSSS.DYNAZENON (2021), and Gridman Universe (2023). If you ever get free time, I recommend checking out that franchise as well.

21:46 America already had their own Ultraman in the 90s called Ultraman The Ultimate Hero, the one that has Kane Kosugi in it. But it is pure dog crap, highly not recommended. You're better off watching the Showa era and early Heisei Ultraman instead, trust me. 32:16 yes there's a ultraman game, the most well known and popular are the fighting game series called ultraman figting evolution ( there's a like 5 games made for this series because how popular it became, it has 1 game for ps1, 3 games for ps2, and one game for the psp ). there's also game about the 1966 series, where you play the game just like the tv show. there's a lot more game but i suggest you try that i mentioned first.
