fun fact: she train for 3 months at the action schools , they didnt use any stuntman in this series so every single thing is done by the actor and actress, the other actor in this series praised Han so hee because she worked hard for this series (theres a little bit of known actress that gonna do shit like this iykwim)she didnt use a makeup aswell about 70% in this series , she gain 10kg of muscles, She got rushed to a hospital in the middle of shooting because she hardly breath and suddenly collapse , got a broken ribs ,just like the producer said that this is By Han So-Hee , About Han So-Hee and For Han So-Hee

they did have stuntmans doing some of the most dangerous stunts, but Han So Hee did most of her stunts. For eample, they used a stuntman in ep4 fall.

The gun thing, it's really hard to get a gun illegally in Korea. Only detectives are issued guns, guns are completely illegal in South Korea. I think they get smuggled through China or Indonesia, but it's very hard to get. Thats why you see knives used so often in gang fights.

This series is really cool. I agree with you that the fact we get to follow her progression and struggle makes the character way more relatable and believable. While she's a badass she's never unbeatable, all her wins feels earned.

19:50 It's because having a gun in Asia or... most of coutries in the world I guess, is not as common as in the US for example. I even remember that in movie "The man from nowhere" is a scene when the main character is pulling out a gun and the bad guys are like "How did he get a gun?!".

Duuuuudes this show is so good What I love about Jiwoo is that she's both vulnerable and powerful at the same time. Like they don't make her unrealistic. She's a badass, but she can still take a beating. She just gets back up, that's the sign of a true warrior right there... I guess we can call that piece of crap Scarface now. That's what he gets for being a disgusting human being. Also, that last fight scene through the club is so fiiire. #badassqueen 😎🔥

They all trained for months for this series but lead actress Han So Hee trained a month earlier on her own accord because she didn't want to make mistakes that might end up causing injuries to her colleagues. Also, the first guy he beat up works as the stunt double for Train to Busan's Ma Dong-seok aka Eternals' Don Lee. 👌

The reason the mobsters use knives is because guns are not legal in Korea and for that matter, most Asian countries. We're not like the US where civilians can legally own guns. In fact, the US is the anomaly where guns are so commonplace. Just like in Squid Game, when the girl gets the gun in the box, most Asian audiences will know it's a toy or replica, not a real gun.

Since you liked the directing of sir Kim Jin-Min, I think you'll also love Extracurricular. It's a Netflix series released last year. I adore the lead actress of My Name so I checked on Extracurricular to have an idea of the director's style. It's good and I found myself enjoying it on its own and no longer as a mere form of "research".

There is so many amazing k actors and directors, but many won't give them a chance because they aren't fans of subtitles. For example: Mr Sunshine, if it would've been released here in the US, it would have won't so many academies awards everything from cast, set, directors, wardrobe and make up, the cinematography wasnon point

That movie is 11 years old but it is one of my favorite Korean action movie of all time! I love Won Bin and I wish he would do another action packed movie! 😭
