Biggest thing I am noticing, he jumps in, but doesn't stay for kills. He is just a constant souce of harrassment and distraction for his team.

Yea been playing him for a day or two and yea, he feels like a support tank where you need to be with your team, pushing together. Like him alone is not a problem but him around someone like say iron fist and/or Psylocke on the back can get really chaotic another way i am using him as an ambusher that get ahead of the team, healers also can aim him better since his hitbox is huge mid team fight Also his tram up with iron man, makes iron man a fucking powerhouse with his beam

I gotta say ive gotten pretty good on Hulk recently. Such a fun character. i prefer hold to jump. If your feet ever leave the ground before you jump, it will cancel it. So crowd control, boops, even stepping down a small ledge, etc, will cancel it. This can lead to rather awkward deaths, lol.

I think when it comes to the jump, either are as valuable as the other (hold verse toggle), it mainly just comes down to what behavior you prefer; would you rather have it constantly ready at a moment's notice without needing to consciously hold it, or would you rather have precise control over how far you jump when you jump? Both have drawbacks, both have advantages, and I think the fact that multiple different top 500 players think one is better over the other but not all agree means both are viable options.

Can you explain what you mean by precise control over how far you jump? To my understanding, you are still basically holding it down as soon as you land, and thus will have it full charged compared to the other behavior of toggle.

@@garrisonbratton1516 toggle means you gotta press jump twice to do a basic jump, and it also means that your jump will fill by pressing it once so maybe your jump charge will be bigger than what you actually need, whereas hold is more precise; very subtle differences

@@garrisonbratton1516toggle jump= jump will always be ready for you but it will always be at max distance so no control. Hold to jump = since I control the meter I can be more precise with my jump distance. Hope that makes sense

If you are staggered in any way you have to re toggle the jump which takes a second to begin the charge up whereas holding starts charging as soon as you hold and you can get out by left off the button jumping takes to full button presses with the toggle but just a button press and release for holding the button. Holding is always faster. Especially when jumping out of danger or diving on a opportunity

Ive honestly found that the grab in hulks ult is pretty good when you use it as a stalling tool rather than for getting a kill. It gives you 30% damage reduction, that on a 15 hundred health character is already good as long as you dont do it when your already about to die, and it last for 6 seconds. So you can either do it to extend the end of the ult for another 6 seconds, which means your distracting the enemy as almost an unkillable goliath for 6 seconds, but more importantly. your completely taking 1 enemy out of the entire fight. You coordinate it with your team and you would be surprised how effective it is. Use it on a tank and they have no frontline for 6 seconds. use it on a support if you know they have ult and practically force the other support to use an ult to salvage the fight, otherwise your team just cleans house because they are down a healer for 6 seconds. Hell, use it on someone you exiled, and thats 11 seconds they are stunned for instead, which can practically be a whole fight.

The Q when using his ult is good for finishing combos because the animation stops on kill. So, hit in the air then clap then Q is an insta kill combo for low health pools. Also its good for trapping key players like other tanks at the last few seconds of the ult because the animation finishes before ult is done. Free damage. If there's no healers around them you can exile right after you go back to normal hulk. That can lead to kills too.

Why does Jay just assume he uses toggle? You can hold jump as soon as you release your jump and its charging at the same speed as toggle, its easier to just release space to jump again rather than retoggle, no?

People think it’s easier to not have to think about holding space constantly but as a hulk one trick I think it’s better to just get used to holding as any cc or knockback resets hulk’s jump and it’s hard mid fight to keep pressing it once to recharge jump

Holding is more consistent. As all the cc steals your jumps charge. I found when using toggle I would get like stuck thinking it was charged up when it was taken from whatever form of cc. Holding is also one tap instead of two taps, I guess it’s kinda weird holding a button down at first but you get used to it. I’m sure it’s just preference tho

For jump, hold > toggle imo. With toggle, you might have to spam the button on landing or getting cc'd. You need that jump available immediately all the time. Hold ensures you have jump charge as soon as possible.

Biggest thing I’ve learned with hulk is, DONT BE GREEDY FOR THE KILL. Yes you want kills, but be patient they come to you, or your team from you isolating a support. Hes super fun to play as an ex Winston main

Air tackling Storm/Ironman is surprisingly easy. You just need to practice it a little bit and you'll hit unmoving storms/ironman every time if they are low enough to the ground.

The jumping is a preference thing. I play on controller and I always hold jump. It feels way better than toggle in my opinion.

Toggle jump is way worse because it take longer to queue the jump where as holding it you can starting the charge ip for the next jump before the last jump is done

Hold is better because you can start the jump midair, for me is a preference because if I toggle I forget I even have the jump I have to see the bar, but with holding I already know how long it takes for a full charge or short hop and holding it down reminds me i am charging jump, that way i dont even have to see the bar and concentrate on other things.

I been playing a lot more Hulk and i fucking LOVE him. You still have to have some skill to play him correct or youll keep dying. This player does what i do. If you focus on K.Os, youll die. Smack some enemies, dip, repeat. Those K.Os will come to you😂

The main thing in Hulk’s kit that’s annoying is his stun move (Radioactive Lockdown). Enemies stunned by hulk don’t take any damage from your teammates until you hit them again.

If this helps you dope it’s preference end of day, but hulk is a very high skill ceiling character and there are often times you want a shorter jump, and if you’re a hulk main getting used to holding down space as soon as you land is the strat. Watch any top 500 hulk gameplay, the jump meter starts charging as soon as they land (meaning they have the setting off). Captaincoach is the only guy I know that does a full breakdown of how to play hulk at a high level if ya really wanna learn.

i think the Exile ability actually stops movement and negates healing or damage taken, unless the hulk is the one damaging you. not 100% but i know it's a cc and an anti-heal

If you have it on toggle you can't insta jump, you need to wait till you touch the ground to start a new jump. With hold you can start it whilst holding mid air, you can't toggle mid air.

that, and I think with hold down u don't actually need to charge the full 1.7s before releasing it close a great distance between u and point/enemies, I usually charge it to just above the red bar for those horizontal jump especially in places with lower ceilings
