UEDAIP, created by Nekron, is a mod for StarCraft Remastered created to make the existing StarCraft campaigns fun even for more experienced players by enhancing and improving them in a variety of ways with: personified, custom AI scripts for both enemies and allies that are faithful to their faction, a day/night cycle, a completely new UED tech tree, cached bank data and alternate win conditions which affect later missions, and more! This mod gives opportunities for players to improve their macro and creates situations in which they can improve their micro, forcing them to use casters, or just letting them have more fun in their favorite missions.

I felt like despite all the brain fatigue talk you completely dismantled this map -- had no problems addressing any attacks, predicted where the AI would drop tanks later and took chokes early. I had hoped that this would be a huge fan favourite for the Firebat attacks, but everything was handled so well that honestly they didn't feel nearly as impactful as they did when I was playing xD As an aside, Ghosts are already available in this mission! You can see them in Barracks, and Sci Fac can get a covert ops. Only Nuke Silos and BCs are disabled in this one. I think if I made this map from scratch today, I would add the CommCenter objective as a straight up bonus objective, I'm not sure why I didn't do that originally really - would save a lot of confusion. I think I might've only kept it "hidden" to save on voiceline requirements since my audio guy has been hard to reach at that time You're of course correct about why Bunkers are cheaper. Also if you or anyone else feels like the maps would be more enjoyable after reading Blaze's rundown then absolutely feel free to read it IMO, I guess there's that weird expectation of being "spoiler-free", but if it makes something less enjoyable...

Also, more: The time to get the CommCenter appears to be around 35 minutes if I read it correctly, so you still should've gotten the easier vT9. What's changed is that the AIs ramp up slower script-side and get a starting setup penalty (less workers, minerals in stock)

Hey, for what it’s worth,I loved the Firebat attacks and they made me laugh. Catching that one Tank was pure luck, I was expecting Wraiths instead.

unlike the time I played N's version of Norad II, his version of this map kicked ass. felt like a knock down drag out fight, basically reminded me of when I first played the N64 version of Trump Card back in 2000

Hi Jay been watching your Starcraft uploads for years now and really enjoy your play throughs. I saw a couple of custom campaigns on another channel you may be interested in. All three SC2 campaigns but played as the other races (LOV as terrain for example)

22:50 As Nekron said, it's a bit over 20(I bet you will know by now) and 'The Big Push' will be 'normally difficult' later. I didn't know the distinction varies between easy, normal and hard till now.

So yeah, enemies on Big Push won't see any penalties to their starting economy unless you go back and re-play this off-screen to get the bonus (I doubt it), but on the plus side, they won't get any BONUSES to their economy, either - that requires you doing the super-speedrun and get the Emitter to the Beacon in like... 3 or 4 minutes.

I think the par time is actually 35 real-life minutes? I only see 3200 game seconds in triggers, so Jay probably got the easier Big Push

Might be a bit much for the game engine. Considering how many entities could be left upon completing the mission

@@mullerpotgieter Not related to any limitations at all, I simply didn't feel like it's worthwhile to spend time on a cutscene vs working on making another map playable->balanced -- if I had infinite time or more people I probably would add a cutscene here

@@UEDAIP Fair enough. It'd look neat, but ultimately be superfluous. The overhaul so fars been really entertaining to watch.

I've been trying to play these missions via the campaign menu, but I can only play them in custom battles by placing the files in the map folder, and the effects don't carry over from one mission to the next. What do you to do to play these as one long campaign?

Right now, playing them via the custom games menu is the only way to do it for the Vanilla campaigns. Not every mission has stuff that carries forward from one mission to the next, but even as it works now, it should still create Bank Data files that other maps will hook into and make use of. The effects aren't always obvious, either - sometimes all the bank data does is affect how many resources the AI players start with.

Also if Antidragon means that missions don't autoplay one after another, then yeah that's the case right now - sorry D: I'll hook them up when they're put into the campaign menu so... sometime in the future when vanilla Protoss is done

You know, I can't help but feel if youw nated to maybe go the extra mile in remaking this mission, you could have small groups of zergs popping in regulalry fro the sides trying to get in dirrection of the psy emmiter that would fight you and the confederate alike jsut to reinforce the 'psy emiiter attracts zeg' plot point and throw a little bit of flavor and unpredictability into the map. Don't need to be many to be clear, just say three of four.

Y'know, to this day, I don't actually know the specific reason why you have persistent vision of that little bit of empty high-ground to the north. The vision of the Confederate stuff to the east is obvious, as it's clearly meant to be the infrastructure that the early marine says has already been captured, but that area to the north...? No idea. also yey i was mentioned

Look closely; it's the stone heads. I did something similar in some BW Protoss missions iirc, and it's mostly to justify free vision using doodads whenever I felt like it could benefit the mission significantly.
