I say get one now before they get any higher in price, I've had my Vita since it launched in 2012 and it still works amazingly and modding only extended its life even more. It's not even just the Homebrew and emulation you see here! The actual video games made for the Vita are a lot of fun! Killzone, Freedom Wars, Tearaway, MGS collection, God of War collection, the Persona series, tons of ports of anime games, Mortal kombat 9, Injustice are all great on it!

I got a Japanese vita for $100 and was able to mod it in juat a few minutes. Best purchase ive made in a while and so easy to do. I highly recommend this to everyone

personally as a hacked vita owner, it’s great for playing GBA games but I’d recommend RetroArch with the gpSP core instead of mGBA, since mGBA has a some stuttering on vita

Yeah the Vita is one of my favorite handhelds but I think the Steam Deck recently took that spot. Still the Vita is great and has a good libary of underrated, obscure Japanese gems.

Takes a good hour or so but I now have around 300+ games at the moment from NES to PSP. I love the hack, get wayy more use out of it now. As I've only been using it primaraly for remote play.

Hey :) love these vids! Any way you can help out with some info on what to do once you get to pressing the Select button for the computer connection, but the computer doesn't allow you to drag and drop, it asks you instead to format the SD card. Is there a fix for this? I've bought two different SD cards thinking it was that, and a new cord, it was neither of these things. 😩

Hey, its not clear in videos like when i download emulator , once i connect to pc are they already downloaded ? Or do i need to find them somewhere online ? Same question for n64 stuff. I got vita games easy and ps1, you cam straight add them. I am guessing it dosent work that way for nintendo stuff?

I know this is an old video, but I wanted to ask since you have both of the systems I'm talking about here. I've been wanting to get a vita to mod it for a bit. Thing is, I already have a modded 3DS, and much prefer the more lighthearted vibe of Nintendo games, but don't mind something serious ever now and then. Considering these facts, the vita, and by extention, the psp's library, along with graphical power, do you think it'd still be worth if for me to drop 100-ish one one?

Tried this. Gba games run with audio lag issues. Best option is Retroarch, a gba bios file and the GBsp core. Thank me later.

IMO retroarch is much better for GBA. Negatives of Retroarch is long boot times, and a little more playing around with settings. But the mGBA-next core along with more filtering options, mapping hot keys, adjustable aspect rations and resolutions, I can’t go back to mGBA as a stand-alone emulator

Also retroarch per game setting so I can remap my controls based on the game. And for original GameBoy it always a large collection of color palette options, from Gameboy color palettes, gba palettes, super gb palettes, and custom palettes
