Damn, this was an incredible pod this week! I learned so much, and a lot of what y'all discussed put a lot of things into perspective for me. I'm not really a n engineer at all, more of just a producer, but I love hearing and learning all there is to know about mixing and training my ears better, and hearing that Jaycen also went through some times where he questioned his purpose is super relatable to me. I'm turning 34 next month, and I sometimes feel like I'm not where I need to be, and opportunities have long past me, but hearing and seeing y'all work hard every week is inspiring to say the least, and lights a fire in me to keep going. Both The God Particle and Orion are great too, as they really also help me optimize my templates better to only include things that are more essential for my workflow, so thanks to Jaycen and Cradle for their hard work.

I want to express my gratitude to everyone involved in this amazing interview. One of the most interesting aspects for me was how Devvon expressed his appreciation for having Jaycen as a mentor, inspiring him to delve deeper into the world of audio engineering. It was evident that Jaycen felt proud during this special moment because it felt genuine and not forced. The fact that Devvon has taken the time to study Jaycen's expertise speaks volumes. This is the kind of mentorship that every engineer should have. I recall my audio engineering instructor telling our entire class that he couldn’t share everything he knew because, if he did, he would be out of a job. I truly appreciate each of you for this video. It has motivated me to strive to reach your level. This is incredibly inspiring.

Yoooo I love how y’all went in on the whole narrative of mixing, I was sitting here mixing a beat myself, and had to sit bk and just watch the whole thing, especially went in about the depth that Jaycen brings to his tracks, that’s one thing I notice big time, and basically what I’m trying to achieve with my tracks, one thing you put me on Devvon was the NLS channel and Buss, changed up a lot in my mix, haven’t got a chance to really fool with the studio rack, that ish be killing cpu. Good deal with getting Jaycen Joshua in the mix, this was a good one

Man, the way he talks about it, it’s the secret sauce we’ve all been searching for. Makes me wanna dive back into my older sessions and rethink everything I thought I knew about drums. Also, can we just appreciate how he makes mixing sound both incredibly deep and somehow super approachable? Dude’s a legend for a reason! Also shoutout to Mike and Dave for being legends too!

JJ is such a cool Guy, man, just the vibe of this Guy you know he's the type of person you want to be in a studio with, serious, but approachable, banter with work ethics and just the right reasons to keep doing music. Took me a while to buy TGP and it made a world of difference in my sound, and now it lives rent free on my Master Bus and of course, when Orion got out, I ran to grab the Demo and after the Trial ended I was like "nah, bro I ain't living without this thing on my drum bus anymore" 😂 this is just how it just lifts anything, on your Drum Bus it just sounds RICH. And both of them, working together?! They really made something great, here. Big boy episode right there. 🔥

This is the interview I was waiting for. I really dig Jaycen and just his character and his mentality to teach us younger generations whether we picked this up by trade or went to school. I've gleaned quite a few things from this interview especially the voltage part of the conversation as it would have been nice to get alittle more insight on like what's the meaning or use of it and how it plays apart in mixing but this was great to watch as I felt the gratitude as if I was in the room!! So big ups to this podcast and thanks for always bringing the legends to grace us!! Big thanks!!

To be honest, this was one of the best episodes yet! The way he thinks about things is mind-blowing, and I believe more people should aspire to be like him. Thanks for the plugins and everything! One question stood out, though: what PC specs do you actually need to run a big mixing session? With Macs, it’s straightforward-you just get more RAM. But on the Windows side, it’s so confusing to figure out which processor is good and all that. That would make for a great discussion.
