I've had my 2021 JPod Outback for just over 2 years now. Overall, I am still very happy with it. I am unhappy with the ability to get warranty work done however. The solar panel developed a kink after about 6 months. At my first service, Jayco refused to replace it at the time because they claimed it still worked and it was only a cosmetic issue. Two months later, it ceased working (April 23). It's booked in to get fixed (again) in Feb 24. The back door also had a common fault of leaking after rain. I am hoping that this will also be fixed early in the new year. Despite these faults, I took it with me on the SoT to schlep around Tassie for 2 weeks. It was great. I will say that I added an aftermarket 180* Darche awning with walls. I also attach an Oztent RV3 to the rear for my dressing room and toilet instead of using the included Xtend annexe. This is because the included annexe is so heavy to assemble by oneself. I am glad that I got the curved shape model instead of the newer squarer ones, as inside space was compromised with the updated shape. It is defintely worth the money I paid. I also tow it with a 2021 AWD hybrid RAV4 Cruiser (same as the white car in this video). It's not the greatest tow vehicle but it gets the job done.

It looks good value for money and great for remote off road solo touring but dust sealing that huge rear door has to be a problem. Any reports on dust entry?

I love it, how fully qualified mechanical engineers, designed a huge back door with no mesh screen. Allowing thousands of flies and mosquitoes in, right before you close door. Definitely have the basics down to a T.

Comes with an outdoor tent to mount on the end.

@@aussiele1 and how much is that?? After you've just spent $20,000 on a new camper. If designers did their job properly, we shouldn't need to spend extra on something so simple like a flyscreen. Me personally silly design. Check out: The Adventureman Trekka now thats an awesome Camper.

@@jaredtansley3236 Between $200-$400, including delivery, depending on whether you choose pre-made thinner option (made in China?) or the made to order thicker option (Aussie made). I figure it’s a part of decking out my new glamping setup.

The 2021 model will have a hard shell roof top tent as a factory fitted option from June this year. It retailed for just under $2k as an option. I’m not sure how much it adds to the payload though.

God Damm the price is right. What are the options, can you get a second water tank, second battery?

You can add your own 2nd battery. Jayco offer a lithium battery instead of standard AGM one, for a price. They do not offer a second water tank and it would probably affect your 300kg payload by putting one in.

I ordered mine 9 days ago and was given the end of July for estimated delivery date. I was told I got one of the last 3 in Australia for July delivery. These are selling like hot cakes at the moment. It’s virtually impossible to see one in person at a dealership.
