Great video. I'm interested in something you haven't mentioned. A few years back, Jayco changed the side profile of all the Jpods - now the taper of the roofline is flat, and by doing that Jayco have (slightly) improved the headroom over the pillows, because the taper actually has a higher front wall. It's only a couple of inches, but I was always concerned about headroom over the pillows, and now it's better I think for people who like to read in bed or use multiple pillows.

Thanks for watching Ross. We never experienced issues with head room above the head of the bed. When they made that change, internal storage space was lost along with end of bed space. We get lots of Jpods in our business for Darche awning, stone guards, picnic table, and sirroco fan installations. I could never work out why Jayco made such a significant change in design. I think build quality is better on older models. We do wish we had an Outback. The independent suspension and clearance height are such a plus.

Nice video, but no one does a video of people inside with the rear door closed. And what happens if the opening mechanism on the rear door fails. Can you get out via a window? Thanks

I also admin the Jayco Jpod owners group. This is a common subject. Ours is 6 years old and to be honest we virtually never close the rear door. People in our group have been very inventive to self-protect from this happening. Its a facebook group, please feel free to add your-self and explore the page, lots of really friendly people in our group.

Trev you underslung the axle to raise height. How much higher is it? I am 6'4" so..

Nice one Trev. Question from me. After using the sink to wash dishes etc, where does the dirty water go to? Is there a tank or just runs to a bucket below?

Hey Marc, I carry 10 metres of sullage hose. Alternatively, I use a collapsable bucket :)

Remove the leaf and install timbren weld square tube to get more height and then you have a lightweight outback.
