Max DESTROYS Creepy Catfish | Ari & Lanum

This episode has been HIGHLY requested for months, and after rewatching it years after its initial release, I can understand why. Personally, I think this is Max's best episode. He was kind and compassionate when needed, but never took his foot off of the Catfish's neck, and didn't let them get away with any BS. Episodes like this makes me wish that Max would come back, and host a full episode with Nev and Kamie, more specifically, one where the Catfish deserves to be roasted the entire time. Everything about this episode (Season 6, Episode 9) makes me absolutely terrified for young women who are dating online. Thankfully, Ari had Nev and Max by her side the entire time to ensure she remained safe, while getting the answers she so desperately needed. Now, I have highly controversial opinions, so of course I'm excited to hear your thoughts, feelings and opinions down below in the comments. It's quite common for the catfish to write into the show; however, more often than not, the show presents it as if the person who fell for the catfish is the one reaching out. It's a reality show after all.

Don’t forget that the crew has already been inside the catfish’s house, because they have to mic up anyone who will be on camera, do sound testing, etc. The catfish is always already mic’d up when they answer the door. Catfish does a good job of making the show look candid, but it’s still a TV show with all the planning and technicalities that requires. So whenever a catfish agrees to meet at a house, they’re agreeing ahead of time to people and cameras going in there.
