My 600lb Life & Catfish CROSSOVER?!?! | Red & Jalissa

This has to be arguably one of the most highly requested Catfish episodes. Season 8 Episode 1 was our very first episode with my fave Kamie, and what a wild one to kick off her Catfish career. For whatever reason, people insist on being unnecessarily disrespectful to her, but she always hits them with reads; ones that sting, and intellectual ones that they will be thinking about long after they've finished filming. Even though this was a more recent episode, it was still wild to rewatch it in order to review it for y'all. My opinions have changed dramatically since I first watched this episode, and let me just say, the opinions are opinioning. I believe this is the first episode we have covered where the catfish has appeared on another non-related reality TV show! It's her being rude for me. I know the catfish usually has internal issues but the way she was talking to Kamie just makes her seem like she's also one of those women who hates on other women because she thinks it'll make men like her. I think she was treating Kamie the same way people normally treat her. However, Kamie's IQ is higher than room temperature while the Ashley has an IQ that's lower than her BMI.

I saw Ashley’s 600lb Life episode. I think it was after both of the Catfish episodes. The show revealed that her mother is still suffering from health issues and Ashley lives alone supported by disability because of her weight. Dr. Now made her go to psychotherapy after she kept trying to manipulate him and made no progress with weight loss. He was actually VERY gracious to her even though she cussed him out and stormed out during a visit. He could tell she was literally putting on a different persona depending upon what was happening. Light nice voice one minute. Rapid blinking, scoffing and cursing the next minute. She had to rely on her neighbors/friends to transport her places. The psychotherapy diagnosis was depression (duh) and multiple personality disorder! She was shocked by this and followed her therapist’s advice to create a profile that was actually HER! The episode didn’t end with her getting the surgery but being committed to trying to work on her mental health and her weight loss so she could get the surgery. She could be a really great person with the right help. God Bless her!

As someone with next level anxiety it definitely isn’t a far reach of fear of traveling solo. The thought of going even a state away by myself is just terrifying, I overthink everything as in even conversations at gas stations, fast food windows lol it’s really embarrassing so traveling alone is something I’d love to do just for the fact I love to travel but actually going through with dealing with the stuff it takes to get from here to there is enough to make me say yeah nvm. I hate being like this😩😂

Definitely uncommon to have that fear. Ever try therapy for that level of anxiety? I used to have pretty bad social anxiety where I wouldn't talk to new people, but after some therapy and getting a job where I HAVE to talk to new people really helped. Hope you're able to take a trip by yourself and have fun one day :D

I think travelling solo is a very real fear and should actually be. It's a safety situation, especially if you are a woman. Especially if you are LGBTQ+. Especially in a place like the USA. Anyone saying that travelling solo aint a big deal is crazy for me.
