@@tonyamercado9013 Hello! When we learn to crochet I teach the students that we count in patterns. I teach them how to chain and then how to chain back. All the while the students are creating a pattern and must keep count and keeping count is repetitious. Then that takes us into multiplication, how many rows by how many chains and this helps them remember their times tables in a fun way. At the end of our game we start with simple things like finishing a bracelet. Then we continue add more chains add more rows and eventually we have a wrist band or a headband or a hair band and eventually a we move up to creating a scarf and then a beanie. The students get very excited that at the end of the lesson they have something they have produced themselves all the while working with math patterns in their heads. Students that are more mathematically challenged we start with finger crochet or finger knitting then hand knitting and then we work our way up to using a hook. With special education students I start what they loom and work our way up. I hope this was helpful.
