Hi jayda . Nowadays I am making this poncho . The way you have demonstrated is so lovely. But I used a hook of number 5 with 4 ply yarn that's the reason that a lot of yarn has been used. You made 33 rows and mine has exceeded 40 and still more to be made to reach the desired length. I have used 2 shades of blue and have added 3D flowers to it. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful design.

Hi Becky!! That's wonderful :) I hope you guys had a great long weekend and are enjoying the summer too! Are you getting as much rain as we are?!
@beckyg48227 жыл бұрын
Jayda InStitches We had one day last week with heavy rain, but other then that not really too much rain. We've actually had a few days that rained in the morning and the sun came out in the afternoon. Last year we ended up in torrential rain during 4th of July fireworks, but this year the weather was perfect! Stay inside, stay dry and crochet your way through the rain. Hopefully, the sun will come back out for you soon!
@JaydaInStitches7 жыл бұрын
+Becky G I'm so glad to hear that😊 What was threatening to be rain blew right on past, so we got a little extra sun today than we thought we would! Our long weekend was really great too, the fireworks weren't rained out and I even got my hands on a sparkler!
@beckyg48227 жыл бұрын
Jayda InStitches Glad the rain never came today. Even sparklers have always been illegal in my state, although someone told me they're not anymore, but I haven't checked for myself. Supposedly, it's still illegal to sell them in my state, but not to go to another state to buy them and use them here. I'm thinking about what project to start next. I'm thinking about the Corner 2 Corner blanket, but a little bigger then a baby blanket. I also have the monthly blanket squares started, but I'm way behind. I'm working on those as the mood strikes me.
@JaydaInStitches7 жыл бұрын
Wow! Sparklers are illegal in your state? That's disappointing, but I'll keep that in mind if I'm ever in Jersey and in a celebratory mood...I'll bring my own * giggle *. I'm sort of obsessing over the C2C right now, I love how quickly they work up and how warm the fabric is! I'm thinking of making a throw-sized one for the couch out of scraps, I'm thinking it'll be the perfect thing to curl up under when the cooler weather hits again in a few months!

Hi Jayda, I made this BEAUTIFUL poncho and I love it. I made it with Lionbrand A Star Is Born Collection Baby Soft in the colorway Baby White which is a beautiful crisp white with satin sparkle in it. For everyone wondering what colors to use for this, what reminds you of summer like bright yellow, green, and blue or the patriotic colors like red, white and blue, I think that would be a beautiful combination of colors especially if it has sparkles in it. You would be a sparkling firework😄😄. Thank you so much for this beautiful tutorial. I have a question, what are the 3 top things you love about the summer? Mine is thunderstorms, bonfires with smores, and outdoor activities like pools and parks. Thank you so much. Love and Light- Lily Rose

Hi Lily, your poncho sounds beautiful! You're creating quote the crocheted wardrobe for yourself 😁 That's a fun question: I think my top 3 favourite Summer things are long evenings listening to crickets, warm rain that you can run around in, and visiting the beach 💗

Thank you so much for responding, I love all those things, but first I need a beach😆😆. More summer crochet on the way🤗🤗

Love this pattern! I’m using shawl in a ball, two strands held together and it’s just beautiful and something I can do. Thank you for teaching me yet again to make something I love!

I love this pattern, and it looks beautiful on you! Right now I am trying it with a 3 weight Mandala yarn in the colorway, Unicorn. Is there any way you could tell or show us how to turn this into a poncho, instead of a cardigan? Cinnamon Stitches did, but she did not give enough information as to how she did it. In the meantime, I will continue along with you! ♡

Hi! Without changing the pattern, the easiest thing to do would be to leave off the border and ties and simply sew up the open seam :)

@@JaydaInStitches Thank you, Jayda! I just might try that! In the meantime, I have taken some liberties with your pattern. I am using Mandala yarn in the colorway Unicorn and doubled with some cone thread, and an L hook. It is looking gorgeous and has a lovely drape to it. :) ♡♡♡

This is beautiful. Could you make this open front poncho again, only this time without points on the side? And then as a follow up, could you show us how to add sleeves to the side?
