Hi! You need around 1500 yards for an adult. All balls are different, so check the yardage on the label 😊

Hi Jayde. I'm curious if you or some of the other crochet family could help me out. You see I'm in the process of making the poncho that this hat or Hoodie goes too. But I don't want a hoodie to go with my poncho. I want to attach a scarf or a cowl to the poncho. Do you or any one else who may read this have any suggestions on how I can do this. HI Tammy, if you want to add a cowl neck to the poncho, the easiest way to do it is to join your yarn to the neck edge of the poncho once it's finished, crochet in every single stitch around (not skipping, not decreasing or increasing) and join the row. Then repeat. Work as many rows of crochet (no increasing, no decreasing, same number of stitches per row) for as many rows as you want. The more rows the deeper the cowl and the more you can roll it down 😊

Hi Marissa, if your sweater has a ribbed, stretchy neck it won't work as neatly. However, if your sweater has a non-stretchy neck hole, then yes, this concept should work :)

Hi Joan, if you have the poncho made, count the number of stitches around the neck opening and that becomes your base number, add 1 for turning and off you go :)
