I love the clear and concise way you show how to join by slip stitch into the 3rd chain up. So many others pass this off and just sort of stick it in the middle and you can't see where it is actually going. Well done! Great tutorial as well!! Thanks Jayda!

I learned a new word today! I always thought a bunting was something you wrapped a baby in, such as a swaddling blanket. I guess I made this association because of the old nursery rhyme "Bye baby bunting, Daddy's gone a hunting... gone to get a rabbit skin to wrap the baby bunting in." You always teach me something new Jayda!
@JaydaInStitches8 жыл бұрын
+Anna May Shinn Hi Anna, thank you for the poetry, I never heard rhyme before! :) I have heard these called buntings, but I grew up calling them "swag" or "garlands". I guess all three terms are appropriate and likely have different origins....and now I'm curious, I think I'm going to go look it up :)

Hi Jayda, I have been trying to make a Granny strawberry dishcloth watching another video...I've ripped out the center about 6 times, & when I get to the 3rd round, it doesn't look like a strawberry at all...& have ripped that out 4 times...then I found your Granny triangle..& guess what? Just watched you 1 time & I completed my first granny triangle...You don't just say 'do this & do that'..You tell us what to do & then you explain why you are doing it...Thank you so much for your well explained videos....You really are the best....Now onto the green top!! :)

Hi Jayda! I was wondering, why did you choose cotton yarn ? Just personal preference or because cotton is better when making a bunting? By the way, thank you for being you! I love watching your videos (:
@JaydaInStitches7 жыл бұрын
Hi Keri, thank you for watching :) I like cotton for out of doors projects, it's hard wearing, it washes well and it generally keeps it's colour...however I did put up a little cotton crocheted 'flag' out front of the house earlier this summer and it has faded quite a bit (that sun can drain the colour out of just about anything!). However, it has stood up to the wind and rain very nicely :)

Hi Jayda I just wanted to say how wonderful you are with your crocheting. Especially this bunting. I have made this many many times for myself and friends and family. Yesterday I decided to make another bunting but wanted to try a different one. After 6 attempts at other persons bunting I have now come back to the best. Annoyed at myself after wasting time on trying and undoing. I know where to stay in future. Keep up the fabulous work. Stay safe
