Jay you are such a good athelete, everyone is a critic so take what i say when a grain of salt... (i skipped ahead in the video im not sure if it was best trick or full run) Assuming it was full run... I think you could have placed higher if your downtime while getting speed was more consistent. When we are watching its like... As a spectator its like... cool trick, crowd reaction, wait, cool trick, reaction, wait, and so on. The wait is you pumping around and getting speed for the next big trick. But when you hit multiple transitions for speed it slows things down... If you can plot your route to do tricks that cause you to lose less speed early on you can build up. If u can catch big air and do no handers then land high on the ramp and pump out maybe u can ramp back up as well. Either finish with the biggest trick and work up to it or find a way to keep the momentum going after you do a trick that causes you to lose speed. This is the format alot of extreme sports use. Skateboarding, snowboarding, nitro circus, ect. Its the entertainment format for professional extreme sports that helps sell your footage to people who arent always as knowledgeable about how difficult things can be. You can see it when you watch xgames or street leagues. Its like timing between the tricks. A rythm, of trick, reaction, wait. Like its timed. Like the rythm of a song, consistent time gap between tricks

The Vans judging is a bit different than most. They don’t care as much about the big bangers and focus heavily on course usage. I’m assuming you skipped ahead to the finals and saw a few runs of me just pumping around. 3 out of the 4 runs I slid out and got completely off-line and was struggling to get back on. There was definitely 1 line in there that I was happy with. Unfortunately it’s overall impression during a 20 minute jam. (Hopefully this makes sense as I was only able to skim) Appreciate the input.
