First off, huge fan of Woodward Sports! Metro Detroit (downriver area) born and raised, now living up north the past few years (Cheboygan area)! But to the point, I joined the navy (2009-2013) and was stationed in Bethesda at the new Walter Reed (NNMC Bethesda when I arrived) and gotta say, it’s cool we are playing Washington in the divisional round. When I was there, I also followed the Redskins and was there during McNabb’s time and then also there when RG3 took the league by storm! Was really bummed when things fell through for the dude, and know it hurt to be a Skins fan when injuries plagued the guy and ended the dream for them. So I’m happy for Washington fans to have a promising team again! Also met my ex wife who was from Baltimore while I was there and became a secondary fan of the Ravens and got to ride that wave to the Super Bowl at that time, which was surreal. My Washington squad is a FLAWED team. Poor run defense, abysmal secondary play (led league in DPIs), limited run game with RBs. However, they do have a BLUEPRINT to win games. In order to win the offense must move the ball. 8,9,10 play drives with over 50% conversion rate on third down and aggressively going for 4th and shorts. We move the ball with the short pass game, screen game, and Jayden using his legs for key third down conversions. We only take a few deep shots a game as our goal is to shorten the game and limit possessions to about 8 or less when facing teams with MORE talent. The blueprint of this when the offense is playing A+ is Cincy week 3 the 38-33 victory(6 Offensive possession 5 TD, 1FG), Tampa Bay was an example of a B game (7 offensive possessions 2 TD, 3 FG)from the offense but accomplishing the same objective of coming away with a WIN. We haven't been blown out since week 1 Tampa and you saw what happened to them Sunday. Baltimore is the elite offense we played and we struggled but it still was a one score game. I think we were less aggressive that game for some reason as we were still figuring out our true identity week 6. With all that said, IF we successful move the ball and eat clock ( doesn't matter the point total) and we in all likelihood will need some mistakes from the Lions (turnovers, penalties, a couple of Dan Campbell goofy decisions) the Commanders can eek out a victory. BET Commanders moneyline OR Detroit to cover. We keep it within 1 score with 5 minutes left in the 3rd, I like our chances. We've been clutch all year and ALL the pressure will be on the LIONS and Goff. We will see Saturday.

Man, I had a guy land on me shin to shin in high school during practice right before our mile run. I thought that I had broken my leg. One of my coaches thought that I was just trying to dog running the last mile because I said I couldn't put any pressure on it without it hurting. Went home after practice, did the old RICE technique, and eventually went to the ER because it hurt so bad. Doc X-rayed it, said it was only "soft tissue damage". Elevated it on a couple of pillows, wrapped it in an ACE bandage, and iced it all night, the next day it felt like a million bucks. My entire leg below my knee looked like it was a cadaver leg, it was all purple and green and blue, but it felt fine. lions defense and offense is ranked higher PFF, that being said, lions defense is that good even with the injuries. It’s not about stopping them every drive, it’s about holding to field goals and getting 3-4 stops, our offense is relentless.
