I really love absurd stories that are also serious and riddled with hidden symbolism. So, this is my elaborate attempt at tackling the concept. I could go on and on about what this story means to me, but I think what's more important is what it means to you. So watch it and decide for yourself.

That may be true, but it only matters to the cat that is reborn. Their personality has changed and their memories are of who they are before are gone, and they have a new life. So let’s say Firestar finds out that Spottedleaf gets to live again, but as a new cat. It doesn’t matter to Firestar or anyone else. Firestar will be just as sad because to him Spottedleaf is still gone forever. It just matters to Spottedleaf who doesn’t have to live in eternal darkness and can experience a new life.
