the thing is tho, the books usually don't specifically state that they are *solid* colored cats. So, if the books simply say "light grey", you can interpret that in any way you like as long as you could describe it as light grey.

I actually really appreciate that so many of these were mass produced. I don’t have the money to buy or commission expensive plushies and some of the official plushies leave a lot to be desired. Especially since most of my favs don’t have a chance of being released anyway. Thanks to you I may actually have a chance to own a mini Ferncloud.

counter pick to your yellowfang choice, if you dont mind: the TY Classic Smokey Persian grey cat from 1999 fits her much better! reads much more as 'yellowfang' to me- with a pretty flat muzzle, yellow eyes, and especially due to the fact that the fur always makes it come off as scraggly/unkempt (like most depictions of yellowfang are). i actually have this plush myself, having dragged it out of my attic a while back. its currently sitting on my desk in my room... i really need to get around to combing the fur on it properly.

23:07 if there’s a way to remove all of her stuffing and the water like if the water is in a capsule or something in the head and you can just remove the stuffing from the body, you can hand wash the fur on the body and then use an actual pet brush to brush out the fur that usually works to help restore a plushy. It won’t make it exactly like it was originally, but it will help. Obviously, then you put all the stuffing back in and then sew it back up. The way I’ve done this the few times I’ve restored a couple old plushy’s was removing the thread on the back seam and then taking out all the stuffing and then putting the stuffing back in and then just re-stitching the back seam

Oh man what crossover of my interests. I run a medium size plushie blog on tumblr and the world of plush is unbelievable when you get into it. From how wildly expensive and rare some of the most random and mundane looking plush can be to how impossibly difficult it is to find a cat plush without white somewhere on them. I had a request from someone recently that was literally just “Dark gray russian blue cat” and I genuinely could only find those exact Sunlemon cats. Shoutout and apologies to the ask rotting in my inbox for a year asking about a dark brown and orange tortie with no white. It never will be found

This is making me want to start collecting stuffed animals again 😅 I already have a ton from my childhood still, but I opted to have a variety of animals for my games rather than collecting toys from a single species, and the only cats I have are from the Big Cat family. So lions, tigers, leopards, snow leopards, jaguars, and cheetahs in abundance, but very few domestic cats, lol. I think the cream colored tabby I have could make a cute Daisy in a pinch if you ignore the stripes, or maybe a Sandstorm. And I like to think this little gray tabby beanie baby my brother has would make a decent Jayfeather 😂

As a tip: If you look up "buff orange tabby" instead of dilute, you get quite a lot of options that pop up! There's even one by Wild Republic that has green eyes. The dilute coat color is often referred to as buff.
