Firestar pieced it together pretty fast actually once he learned that she previously had kits, Riverclan once secretly took in two Thunderclan kits and then saw the family resemblance when Bluestar was near Misty and Stone. Also a LOT of other more important stuff (TIGERSTAR/CLAW) was happening at the time so taking that into consideration, Firestar figured it out pretty fast.
