Tom Jones had a great variety show from 69 - 71 & had some of the biggest music stars at the time. This was a fun duet with Little Richard doing one of his hit songs. He had a lot of great songs such as “Good Golly, Miss Molly”, “Tutti-Frutti”, “Long Tall Sally", “Lucille”, “Ready Teddy”, “Slippin’ & Slidin'” etc.

Show called ‘This is Tom Jones Tom had all the good and great from those 65 shows I looked at the list today and OH MY - such great entertainers and that’s what it was about ‘pure and unadulterated’ 🏴🏴🏴🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧♥️♥️

Chemistry is the right word for it, Jamel. What a dynamite performance by Tom and Richard. Exciting! I would have loved for Tom Jones to have put out an album of '50s rockers. He had the voice for it for sure. And let's give props to that great band that backed the two legends.

I've watched most of Tom Jones' duets but this one is my favorite. Little Richard and Tom Jones were totally in sync. I love that black and blue eyed soul. 💜

Tom Jones' variety show "This Is Tom Jones" (1969-'71) always featured live performances (both by him and with his amazing guests). He kept it authentic.

I'm amazed that they only have a week to practice singing together, along with the big band, and week after week Tom and his guest always perform like they've been together forever. No wonder mom loved this guy so much. So glad he never came to our town or mom might've disappeared. Thanks Tom 😁

Great reaction! I love artists who appreciate each other's work! My brother is 10 years older than I. In 6th grade my parents surprised me with a puppy. It wasn't traditional, but my big brother playiing Little Richard album was how they kept the dog a secret!❤

I was only two when this show started, so I have no memory of it. I don’t think it was telecast in Australia, but I could be wrong. You can always tell the quality of a singer when they perform live and it sounds better than the recording. These two nailed it.

I'm Gen X but my parents were of the silent generation (born in the 30s) so I was raised on this music. In the early 90s Little Richard came to a Casino in Mississippi for a show and I took my parents. It is still hands down one of the most energetic live shows I've seen. I was in my mid 20s, my blue hair goth days, dancing in the aisles with this little old fella who had to be every bit of 90. Had the time of my life. 😂

Tom Jones is only 9 years older than I am. Throughout my whole life it's almost like we grew up together. Because whenever Tom Jones did something new, I was always lucky enough to be alive at the time and to hear it happen. The one thing I really liked about him (other than the fact that his voice is still the most powerful voice I have ever heard), was the fact that he was color blind. 50 years ago, I clearly saw that he loved black people as much as he loved his own white people from Wales or anywhere else on earth. The Righteous Brothers were the same. They were color blind too! That's why I can honestly say that I have never met a black person that I didn't like. I was born (in 1949) and raised in Canada, and I can honestly say that I have never met a black person (said with total respect) that ever gave me any reason not to like them. It's that effin' simple!
