"One Vision" is from the "A Kind of Magic" album, which is the unofficial soundtrack album for the movie "Highlander." Funny thing is though, "One Vision" is one of three songs from the album that were not used in "Highlander!" Instead it was used in the film "Iron Eagle" which was released a year after "Highlander." The "fried chicken" line was made up by Freddie Mercury during recording. He like to make up joke lines during recordings and for whatever reason they decided to leave this one in.

"One Vision" is a song written and recorded by the British rock band Queen, first released as a single in November 1985 and then included on their 1986 album A Kind of Magic. It was conceived by Roger Taylor.[3][4] The song was inspired by the life and exploits of Martin Luther King Jr., with the lyrics recounting a man battling and overcoming the odds.[4] In the 2011 BBC documentary, Queen: Days of Our Lives, Taylor stated his lyrics were "sort of half nicked off Martin Luther King's famous speech."[5] The song's music video featured a "morphing" effect of the band's famous pose in 1975's "Bohemian Rhapsody" video to a 1985 version of the same pose. The song was included in all Queen's live concert performances of The Magic Tour, as the first song of each concert.[6] They claimed they chose "One Vision" as the introduction song because its intro made a perfect concert introduction. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Vision

Songfacts: Queen was inspired to write this by their Live Aid appearance in 1985 - millions of people sharing one vision of a better world. When the band was approached to perform at Live Aid, they were in a rut and reticent to appear. But after their show-stopping performance, they re-entered the studio with renewed energy. They were back in Munich (a place they had previously hit trouble during the Hot Space sessions), but this time spent a lot of time working in the studio, not being distracted by drugs or other distractions - unlike the earlier sessions.

I just found your channel and subscribed right away. I love how music has no boundaries. I used to work a music store and some dude came up and asked me about some Rap music. I told him I was sorry I couldn’t help him because I was into Hard Rock and Metal. He looked at my co-worker and buddy Dave who was black and said, “This brother can help me out” I started laughing because Dave looked at him and said, “Sorry brother but I listen to the same stuff my buddy here does “ and pointed at me. It was so true. Dave turned me onto some hard rock and metal bands I never heard of and Rush was both of our favorite band. It’s all about the music!

Queen; There can only be one! They have an incredible library of music. I love all their music, my fave is Khashoggi’s Ship. Yeah he went to a party on his ship and wrote a song about it.

Freddie was looking through the take out menu; food is universal and so is music! Unity!

Freddie was working on finishing the song and was just tired of searching for the right words. He said he felt like putting " Fried Chicken" at the end, but probably ought to change it. Not sure who but, someone responded you're "Freddie Mercury" you can end the song however you please. So, he did! FRIED CHICKEN When I reflect on it, (One Vision) who doesn't like fried chicken? Even in the 2018 movie, "Green Book," the actor Mahershala Ali's character, Dr. Donald Shirley, is introduced to eating fried chicken, with his hands, by his driver, actor Viggo Mortensen, who plays Tony Lip. Great Movie, Jamel. It surely gets our attention!
