It was nice to listen to the presentation on the late actor Mr. Jayan based on the memoir "JAYAN" by Mr. T.T. Krishnakumar. The author has made an extensive research on the illustrious life of the late actor, who struggled a lot in life before making an entry in to films. It was not just a cakewalk for the actor , as he had to run here and there and had to knock at the doors of several film personalities with a request for getting a chance. It was directors like Shri' Srekumaran Thampi, Hariharan & J.C.Kuttikad , who stood as a helping hand to Jayan , to make a mark of his own in the Malayalam Film Industry. An actor with merely 6 years of time at his disposal, became an iconic actor of the Malayalam Film Industry. A polite and the most loving personality of the film Industry and one who considered Late Prem Nazir as his mentor. It is his closeness with film personalities in the like of Prem Nazir, Sreekumaran Thampi and others which influenced him a lot & made Jayan to come out victorious not only as a fine actor but also as a well- mannered and matured human being.
