@@bpdmf2798 actually that was bis cousin aj bouye who is a top cornerback in the nfl. And who defends the outside receiver to which you need great speed(low 4.3-4.4 40 time). And in the second race aj won by a 10th of a second. I put jaylen at a sub 4.5(4.45 to 4.50) to 4.6 which is about the speed of maybe 85% of wide recivers today excluding your unicorns who run 4.3s or lower
@bpdmf27984 жыл бұрын
@@macattack8658 Yeah that was it. His cousin really didn't look like he was trying nearly as hard as him in that too. He would be average speed at wr without pads but might suffer more than usual with pads seeing his training doesn't incorporate them. He could probably be an average oversized wr but I'm glad he's dunking on fools in the NBA.

Celtics fan here, and I'm happy with this assessment. He fits so well with the team right now. Playing next to Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, and Smart he doesn't really need to be a finished product yet. My hope is that his game grows as Kemba and Hayward age, and by the time they're declining Jaylen can take up some of that slack. Assuming he and Jayson stay together and Tatum continues on his superstar trajectory a more refined version of what Jaylen is now would be pretty ideal.

@shangoat20084 жыл бұрын
I totally agree when you said it takes him 'mental energy' to plan the kickout when he's more focused on newly learned dribbling moves. Once he masters those, he will show better court vision I'm sure. On the fouling trouble, I think he is still learning to play with brain rather than athleticism, the way he did all the way throughout college and the first 1.5 years in Boston. Once he figured that out, the game will slow down for him. And that's when he becomes lethal on both ends.

@cnl12134 жыл бұрын
I appreciate the insight on situational passing-- what he is capable of doing and what is the limit of his vision. Perhaps his energy is so scoring-focused that it leaves out capacity to see passing lanes or foresee how a play will develop. I am reminded of a Jarrett Jack-type on those pre-championship Warriors teams, a scoring guard that has limited passing vision, whereas Shaun Livingston would eventually fill that role on the Warriors better.

Great overall analysis. His ability to draw fouls when attacking the hoop will never be high but he has certainly put it together to make him a threat. But I too am tantalized with everything else he can put together with his defense (one of his best traits) along with off ball movement and passing. For the price of the extension he signed he is valuable for any team looking to add a third piece who can play among ball dominant offensive players but also run offense themselves when playing amongst the 2nd unit.

This is very relevant now with Brown really taking a leap early in the 2020/2021 season. If Brown adds some elite level finishing, with his length, strength and speed, as well as his other offensive weapons i.e his midrange and three point shot, he will dominate.

Kemba is overrated, he played atrocious this year, while Tatum just got hot and lucky for one month, the other months he was shooting less than 40%. If given the same opportunities that Stevens have Kemba and Tatum, Jaylen would be scoring 25 to 28 points this season.

He reminds me of a 2012/2013 PG , has the athleticism, is long and it a very good defender with an offensive game that has developed nicely so he is able to produce from all over the court but is not top tier at anything since there are still some rough edges in his offensive game.
