JT does well - “should’ve had 50” JB does well - “is JB a #1 over Tatum?” Celtics win close- “should’ve won by more” Celtics win big- “no competition” Celtics in a close game but win big at the end- “should’ve never let it be competitive in the first place” ---------> Goalpost

Tatum hit the critical buckets when the Celtics were down 2-3 in against the Bucks in 2022, also Game 6 against the Sixers last year, as well as dropping 50 in game 7 against the Sixers last year. Yes it is, brown doesn’t see nearly the amount of defensive attention as Jayson Tatum. Tatum has so many responsibilities on offense like making sure Derrick White is engaged, making sure Porzingis is getting touches, making sure Holiday gets some spot up shots, and letting Brown cook a little. And then he has to shoulder his own scoring load. All Jaylen Brown has to do is score and defend. It’s not close. If Jaylen Brown didn’t have Jayson Tatum on his team he doesn’t look this good.

2014-2019 Klay Thompson till injuries was one of the best guard defenders and the best two way player in the league.He didn't stop Kyrie cause no one can stop top10 players in NBA but he bothered him like any player in those five years. Cavs were constantly looking for a mismatch cause Kyrie didn't want to go 1 on 1 with Klay neither did LeBron with Iggy.That is why they played boring slow pace offense on GSW set defense . They spent 18 to 20 seconds per attack until they get a mismatch.They wanted center or Curry on LeBron and Kyrie. In 2016 Curry was not strong but since 2019 he's much stronger and I didn't saw any difference in him guarding Kyrie when they played this season and ANT this two games..Ant is taller player with longer arms and that's it.That's why Kyrie didn't chase mismatches

I hate this debate because JB and JT impact the game in different ways and I think its a positive thing. Both these players love and appreciate one another and its clear that the Celtics organization wants both of them to be the leaders of this team. The most important thing is that they win a championship and hopefully multiple.

I think Tatum should settle in the post , that’s an unfair match up for anybody. I actually like Tatum and Brown together , they always just needed a big like Portzingis (athletic , can shoot the 3, defense , etc)

In Boston we only care about one thing and that’s winning the title. It’s the only thing that matters and it’s all that should matter to our players. They are all payed well. I like that we have many players who can score and defend at an elite level. Brown, Tatum who is better, we don’t care. We are happy they both play for Boston.
@jeffcressotti
@jeffcressotti 28 күн бұрын
Truth is they are both great. At times Tatum is better and at times browns better. Jay Williams is right, it’s a tired topic. Tatum was a +20 while on floor game 1 and a -15 when off and basically their center now grabbing big boards. Meanwhile brown had 40 game 2.

I’m a C’s fan from Boston, all I gotta say is game 7 last year ECF when Tatum was hurt and it was in Brown… he folded. Tatum takes the pressure away from brown. Perkins must have been burned by Tatum for all the hate he give him

I’ve personally seen him have the worst shooting in big games. He isn’t efficient and isn’t a dog. He’s a real good player tho. Just like Donovan Mitchell.

I still don’t understand the nonstop barrage of 3’s in the league when there are easy mismatch 2’s ready for the taking since these players lately do not seem to know how to guard the post….unfortunately the offenses don’t seem to know how to play the post either. Imagine what Tim Duncan would do to the league if he was playing today

They genuinely seem like they want each other to do well. It’s only the media trying to turn them against each other
