There is a human nature to competitors that is the elephant in the room JB and JT are clearly suppressing; if they can continue to ignore that, than yeah, they’ll win together… but it’s obviously a potential issue, especially if Boston’s golden boy continues to get outshined (and outplayed) by Jaylen. They are clearly not friends, just work associates, which is ok, but it’s only so many more times JB going to get handed MVP’s while Tatum borderline sulks in the background of the MVP award ceremony… again.
@Nicholaus-j6i2 ай бұрын

@Nicholaus-j6i that narrative is played out. If no one ever guarded Jaylen then he would clearly have even more drives to the paint than he does now. They are both accurate in that they both pull a lot of defenders but honestly if you just watch the game you will see Tatum get more open looks at the 3pt line than Jaylen. Both of them get doubled or tripled when they rim run.
@Organic_Lindo2 ай бұрын
@@Nicholaus-j6idon’t get me wrong, they’re a solid tandem that complement each other well, it just seems like so far, JB’s shortcomings are no left while Tatum’s shortcomings are more mental. There was no defense stacked against JT when he was missing wide open shots badly; I don’t think you’d catch Jaylen on camera lowkey sulking during Tatum’s MVP ceremony; you see how protective of his teammates and how diplomatic Jaylen’s answers are… while JT says stuff like “I haven’t talked to Jaylen”, or “I don’t know, ask Jaylen” when questioned. JB even said “I’m all for team and there’s nothing wrong with team ball (while getting irritated at the suggestion of being number 2)”… while Tatum says stuff like “I’ll get my MVP”… I’m just saying, a potential issue is there; will professionalism overrule? It has so far… but if JB keeps outshining Tatum, there will be an issue eventually.

Why would he care about that lol, deep down in kerr’s mind he wouldn’t mind tatum suffering an injury as that’s not his star player. the celtics are way too dominant and have a clear edge on everyone else which would include his warrior’s so him “saving” tatum is def not on his agenda.

@@myst2761 some people care more about helping others than doing something to adversely effect someone that has the potential to be the star of the entire sport.

@@gregfrank4297 that interpretation is still very unlikely, he played embid mlre then tatum who is MUCH more injury prone and Tatum is very durable this MF never gets injured. The real reason is just he’s position and who’s ahead of him which Kerr already alluded to with this decision and also I believe Kerr just did not trust his shot as it was also shaky in the olympics as he does not have the best shot selection at times..

He knows himself and he is skilled enough to be on that team so that is why he is unbothered. When you are in tune with who you are but are stripped of opportunities unfairly, you don’t take it personally. You just move on to the next opportunity that is for you
