Fully expect a 60/40 snap share for Naj after this, the coaching staff refuses to stick with what works for some reason.
@greglloyd6472Ай бұрын
Statistically Warren and Najee’s averages out of the backfield and catching the football are essentially identical. People like Warrens burst A LOT, but Najee’s ability to muscle through tough running makes their YPC essentially the same.
@facelessman5362Ай бұрын
@ Warren has significantly better vision when it matters momentum does show on the stat sheet
@pathutchison7688Ай бұрын
He’s a beast. Effort is always amazing and he can do everything a back needs to do.

Jaylen’s ability to cut and maintain a good amount of speed is really important. I think we need to draft another quick back that has good long speed a homerun ability.

Get Warren in the game sooner. He hits the hole with more decisive urgency. Follow up his big runs with a play action down the middle to Muuuth!

Thank you... Great tape study.

I like Najee he’s a great guy but I just don’t see it anymore he looks slow and lost running. Warren looks so much more explosive and sudden when hitting gaps.
@RoninGaijinАй бұрын
Jaylen Warren needs to be the full-time starter. This is getting ridiculous to still be trying to turn Najee into more than what he is. He's been a decent back at times but too often misses the hole.
@michaelfarkas298Ай бұрын
Warren crushing with the same line everyone says is holding naj back..
@immr.meeseeks5039Ай бұрын
As a ravens fan, I'm so glad they stick with Harris for whatever reason. Jaylen seems like he gets 5 years every time he touches the ball against us. Then they go right back to 2 ypc Najee 😂

If this team didn’t get flagged for a chiefs player falling down on Warrens td, they 100% could’ve won this game

It was the correct call.

The most-valuable RB's have always been great blockers & reliable hands; Warren is a wrecking ball that is DEPENDABLE...The diva Najee; good luck to ya fella.

Currently Najee is paid 4 times as much as Warren (4M vs 1M). In the end, some other team is going to overpay for Najee. I think the Steelers would like to keep him, but not for the price another team is going to pay. Warren is the better back, and since Najee is likely to play somewhere else next year, they should make Warren the starter and give him the bulk of the snaps. One other observation: for most of the year Najee was in on 1st and 2nd and Warren came in for 3rd because he is a much better in pass protection. When Warren plays every down it seems that defenses are much less certain whether the Steelers will run or pass.

Few things I noticed. I hope the Steelers don't pay Pickens. He is talented but a bad teammate. On the first Warren play you showed, Picken blocks and instead of running down the field to continue blocking like I have seen players from other teams do, he stops blocking and puts his hands up. Then, during the INT by Russ, he didn't run the right route that would occupy the safety. He is too selfish for my liking to deserve a big payday. We have the right blocking and running scheme, but we need to upgrade our runners. Jaylen is a good number 2. Now we need to go hunting for a featured back. Finally, we need to upgrade our receiving room. As long as defenses don't respect our receivers, the running game will not be as effective. Just my take, but I see a lot of work for Omar to do this offseason.
@dontbugme7362Ай бұрын
on that firs play #19 is downfield looking for work, and on the second play, #19 blocks his CB so #30 can get into the end zone
@Handle000-c8oАй бұрын
Right about pickens. Wrong on Warren.
@akiwii9925Ай бұрын
Muth literally took a fine to punt the ball after a TD against the browns for pickens because he couldn't play... quit projecting your feelings onto the locker room. by all accounts pickens is a good teammate. a wrong route isn't being selfish or a bad teammate either. for someone that would be putting up 1300+ on most other teams, i think he's pretty unselfish. he also was out of the play by the time his block was done in that clip you refer to, and his hands being up was a touchdown sign because he believed warren could score. this guy gets so much undeserved scrutiny, it's absolutely insane.
@kobythrasher4451Ай бұрын
Jaylen is a #1 what are you talking about. Insanely tough runner, burst, vision, & a top pass blocking back. He can be the starter on 25 teams minimum
@therunnerupx50Ай бұрын
5:05 why is Broderick Jones looking at his RB instead of blocking the last guy. Could have been a TD
@Avery370ZАй бұрын
And at 2:28 if Broderick put hands on #32 warren would of scored most likely

Najee is great at making 20 yard Warren holes into the slowest 3 yard gain, with 5 guys finishing by pushing him backwards. Seen enough Najee, 20+ carries to Warren we will more explosive plays. What could it hurt?
@disqusrubbish5467Ай бұрын
Said weeks ago he's the better back. He not only sees those holes, he gets to them faster than Harris. Not ragging on Harris, just an observation. I also think Harris would be better served lined up closer to the line. He's too deep. But Warren - yes.
@terrywbreedloveАй бұрын

We don't draft or pay offense and it shows. Lets get a good WR
@deliocosta6876Ай бұрын
Yes everyone knows Warren thrives when he plays. Then for some reason they bring in Harris and even more odd they bring in Patterson. That plus the very odd 4 TE rotation and the completely inconsistent when to go for it, when not to go for 4th downs. No wonder the offense has looked so confusing for 5 years
@tony.bickertАй бұрын
First clip, 77 quit blocking early and let the TD-saving tackle happen.

Honestly for an overhaul to the run game and switch to such a Zone heavy scheme, I really expected Warren To Look incredible and he just hasn’t in my opinion. He’s been good but Najee looks like the better ball carrier even without the speed/burst Warren has. Warren has been to lazy in his ball handling and often gets minimal gain where Najee gets at least a yard or two. Sometimes it feels like Warrens speed doesn’t allow lineman to get good blocks and he blows past them into the leverage of the defender. Sometimes with over aggressive defenders it works great but I wish his chemistry with the line was stronger.
@JamesB-mi9uuАй бұрын
@@VinegarAndSaltedFries it looked to me like he didn’t fr find his footing from the lingering injuries till about week 8 or 9 so he would be just getting into mid season form at this rate
@jefffowlerrАй бұрын
that holding call to take Warrens td off the board was bs they should have called holding on KC for the same reason then they held the d line so much and no call
@PaulRidgeway-h7lАй бұрын
Naj’s greatest ability is availability. He takes a relentless beating and is always healthy. Jalen is questionable right now after a medium heavy week. He’s not built to be a RB1.
