I figured their day jobs were leading Design & Engineering initiatives for one of the biggest companies in the world. I guess if I were going to get more specific, I’d say - it’s nice to see people who are directly responsible for the final result of a production vehicle be responsible for conveying the information to the masses.

Well in his defense, let's not forget the fact that it takes 2 to tango and she ultimately did choose to have sexual relations and begin an affair with not only a married man, but a married active sitting President of the United States of America man. So to call her and innocent bystander would be the real joke. Probably not the best choice on not only location but just the decision itself to start something that is meant to be kept a secret. She knew what she was getting into and I'm sure she had plenty of time to think about just what exactly would happen if she were, or let me rephrase that, WHEN she was caught and this whole thing came out into the open. I can't remember specifically just how this was all brought into the light but hell, I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't play a role in it. I'm sure she was thinking, "Any fame/mention is good fame/mention!" Underestimating just what came of everything was probably the real issue. But I mean seriously, just what the hell did you expect to happen? Did you really think this was just going to get swept under the rug? She would have had to have been seriously and completely oblivious to the obvious outcome.

Supercalafragalistic!!! I was trying to think of an adjective to adequately reflect how incredible this car, this company and this video really is. And like someone else pointed out, done with such humble elegance. The engineering and design elegance of this vehicle and the calm, cool and humerus presentation by these three men speak volumes about what now America can claim as our technological leadership in the world. I can’t afford one but boy do I want to drive one. I recent bought a Bolt EUV and it is the best car I’ve ever owned after decades of very nice Honda’s. I’ll be looking to trade in our CRV soon and I’m test driving every car I can get my hands on in these remaining months on my lease. So far I’ve done the Lyriq, Ariya, Blazer, Ionic 6, Mach e, EQS, and the Volvo C40. I plan to rent a Tesla through Turo so I can get a feeling for that. Basically I’m completely sold on total electric. They are so completely quick, quiet, comfortable and completely modern in every way. I think and hope they are the future and its companies like Tesla and people like you who, pioneers in your way, who help create and then lead us into the future. By recognizing China’s investments and both working with while competing with these powerhouse nations on the world stage, you are demonstrating that America continues to be a great nation of imagination, innovation, prosperity and progress.

Gas cars catch fire in a collision. They don't sponaneously burn sitting on a ship, a garage, or exposure to salt water and they don't burn in the absence of oxigen like EVs. You put a bunch of EVs together in the garage of a large building or ship and you can lose the entire building or ship if one of them catches fire and sets off the other EVs. Gas cars fires can be put out as soon as you deprive them of oxigen whereas EVs burn until there's nothing left.
@davidmenasco5743
@davidmenasco5743 11 ай бұрын
Actually, gas cars do spontaneously start fires, and very often. Here's the numbers: ICE vehicles: 1,530 fires per 100,000 vehicles sold. EVs: 25 fires per 100,000 vehicles sold. And that's old data. Since then, about half the EV market has switched to LFP type batteries, which don't catch fire. So instead of 25, the real number is closer to 12. So the published data says ICE cars and trucks catch fire 60x more often, but now it's really more like 120x more often. And ICE fires develop much more quickly, which is very dangerous.
@GeorgeOu
@GeorgeOu 11 ай бұрын
@@davidmenasco5743 You need to cite your source. There's no way that many ICE vehicles just combust spontaneously. Again, they can be put out with oxygen starvation which can't put out EV battery fires. The higher-end EVs use higher-density batteries like NMC, not LFP.
@davidmenasco5743
@davidmenasco5743 11 ай бұрын
@@GeorgeOu These numbers have been widely reported. My source was IEEE Spectrum. Here are a few more interesting facts, from an additional 5 minutes of web searching: In December of 2020, the National Fire Protection Association published a report by Marty Ahrens showing that there are over 4,000 fires at gas stations each year in the US. About 60% are the result of vehicle fires. And of those, about half are the result of "mechanical failure" and a quarter are from "electrical failure." Crunching the numbers, it is clear that spontaneous combustion is more common in ICE cars than EVs. The other day I did some reading about the details of these fires. I don't recall the agency, but their report indicated that ICE vehicle fires produce lead particulates, and in the event of a gas tank rupture, they "develop" very quickly, in a way that is quite dangerous. And they burn just as hot as EVs. EV fires, when they happen (60 times less frequently than ICE fires) develop very slowly, because each individual battery cell is insulated from the others.

It's a designer purse. The same people who were able to buy the hummer EV will buy this. Tesla claims they have massive demand, but with a $100 deposit of course there will be huge demand, but who can and will actually pay? And how many will Tesla actually be able to make? If demand can be fulfilled then good on them, but it's so late and so rough (why showcase an inflatable tent?) That I don't take this as a serious vehicle that will be on the market for long. @@aware2actionwattage is all that matters. It’s the same wattage at higher voltage because it’s less current. Electric fences run at thousands of volts and don’t kill people. The static shock you get touching a door knob in the winter runs around 30,000 volts.

@@kalasmournrex1470 When it comes to biological systems, current is all that matters(that too in the 10"s of mA). The electric fence induces extreme pain only, because it is current limited to less than 20mA. It is also the same reason, why an inappropriate contact with LoT in a Vacuum Tube TV is quite dangerous. The same applies to the static shock during winter. Wattage applies to electrical loads, when they produce work in terms of heat or kinetic energy. Also there are limited situations, where things could be dangerous, when it comes to biological exposure.

I am an old guy and when I first saw the cybertruck I said"that's not a truck." Then I look around and realize "trucks" today are really just used as a car. 4 door truck with one person, with nothing in the bed. Great info!! Better than 99% of the cybertruck videos out there.

It's important to remember that drag coefficient is not a measure of how much energy it takes to move through wind. It's a function of the force divided by area. So a vehicle could take more energy to move through the wind, but have a lower drag coefficient if it's area is larger.

so true. the cybertruck is quite literally a truck with an almost flat front end, quite difficult to argue a low drag coefficient. would love to see it in a wind tunnel to test their claims

@@wrth legally, they could be sued for false advertising if the number provided is wrong, so I doubt that they would take such a huge risk just to lie about a stat that most people don't care/know about. As mentioned in the video, there are *lots* of very small details that you would only notice up close, and if pointed out that allow objects like this truck to have a passable drag coefficient, despite _looking_ like they are just a "brick".

@moogle6 European car makers including Mercedes achieve low coefficient of drag numbers by using skinny tires, taping the windows, covering the vents, and other cheats. cD numbers aren't regulated like MPG and Wh/km numbers, and we know manufacturers are "creative" with the latter.

Tesla already licensed as a VR power utility company. More microgrids on the future as more Battery storage on the Grid. Grid becomes greener everyday. Battery storage allows power from solar and wind at night. Less peaker plants needed. It’s nice to charge at home with solar/battery powerwall. Tesla is a motor and energy company
