Jimmy is my favorite one of Jay’s team, I’m always happy to see him in a video. He’s just got the right “happy at work” type attitude and, I guess you’d call it….charismatic(?) personality where he’ll joke around with Jay and not take everything too seriously. All of the guys are masters of their craft and I’d love to get to talk to any of them for a few minutes. It’s so cool The way they’re all very different in a lot of ways yet work extremely well together because of their love for cars and history.

It'll be guys from places that have retired and just want a few days a week job. As it fills the week but they aren't pushed to the max like they would in a proper shop. Be friends and people recommended I'd say and he probably just asks if they want a job and x terms. As said a perk is doing your own jobs while being paid very few places allow that

One thing I have always liked about Jay Leno and his collection is that he is never really in a hurry. All projects r getting done right and proper not rushed. Unlike other shows that show that they want it done in 2 weeks. Graveyard Carz being the exception, they do take their time.

The work they do is unbelievable. I bet they come out even better than the original cars were out of the factory. I always wanted to buy a restored 74 Mercury Marquis. My first car back in 81 right out of highschool. Ive been hoping that Jay would restore one so I could at least get to see one looking brand-new. Seeing these old cars fully restored is awesome. It's a beautiful work of art while it's being restored all the way through to when it's all done.

1960 Plymouth was the last and largest fins Jay. I have a one. One off trim year is the worse thing. Took 11 years to find the last bit a Plymouth trunk emblem.

The the colour of the green stripes on the Lotus Cortina are unlikely to have anything to do with the RAF, who have always used blues of various shades, even for their road vehicles. However, it looks to me to be the same shade as post-1957 British Railways Multiple Unit Stock green. This was rumoured to be ex British Army paint; very quickly cream lining (US "striping") was added to make the colour less unattractive. On the Cortina, the green is a small area against the white,, so it looks acceptable. Thank you so much for prducing such fascinating films. The whole team's enthusiasm exudes from every pore - or core.

Jay's getting me more interested in old cars. I can't afford one and don't have the room for it anyway, but I have bought a few scale models of my favorites ( '59 Caddy, and '59 Chevy Impala) . Buying quality models and seeing his collection is the next best thing to collecting real cars. . Sure looks like a fun, yet challenging hobby. Thanks for sharing Jay !
