I absolutely love and appreciate Jay's commitment to preserving automotive history and knowledge! His level of enthusiasm and his passion for conveying the magic surrounding cars that many of us have never heard of and will likely never see is amazing! Whether we're engineers or gear heads or history buffs or just fans of beautiful & historic cars, I think we can all appreciate the incredible wealth of entertainment and knowledge Jay shares with us all. And on top of all of that, he's a genuinely great guy who has never lost touch with the common, blue collar man - just amazing! God love you, Jay.

I hope Jay Leno someday puts his beautiful car collection in a beautiful museum, so everyone can enjoy the quality of restorations that j and his crew have done over the years and pay to get in the museum. So j can make some money. He certainly deserves a paycheck from the American people for preserving American classics and European classic cars. Kudos to Jay kudos to his restoration staff and crew. I really love these Restoration Blogs very much! That GT sure sounds angry! Holy crap! I'm intrigued by all of these cars. What an eclectic collection, right in this one restoblog. I look forward to seeing all of these in road tests in the future, especially that Baker Electric. My father, who was a car guy from the very old days (born in 1926), died this past week, and had been suffering from dementia but one of the last things I shared with him, while he was still able to converse, was one of your videos (1918 Cadillac Type 57 Victoria). He really loved it since his long-term memory was still intact. I also surprised him with the video on the Doble E20 steam car, which he had never heard of before. I know that the videos made him feel close to "normal" again, even if it was for 45 minutes or so. So, from a fellow Massachusetts boy (we're from Burlington), keep up the excellent material. Your videos always inspire me to do a little more work on my old Porsche. Thanks!

They're all obviously true craftsmen in their own right... Seeing the cars in various states of restoration, hearing the stories behind each one... Jay is the luckiest man on this planet. The ONLY thing missing are a couple of scantily clad, gorgeous young girls. Work on that Jay, OK? Firing up that GT and hearing it? A pure automotive symphony.. WOW.... Mr. Leno, most people are fortunate to be somewhat proficient in one skill so they can negotiate life and be able to support a family (that would describe me). Then there's you... I can't even begin to list all the different areas where you're not just proficient but a bonafide expert. You're a world-class entertainer on par with Johny and then there's the automotive and motorcycle 'hobby' of yours. God knows how many folks are making a wonderful living because of you. You should teach a college course on how to stay humble when you have a million reasons not to. Love the Jay Leno's Garage, extremely entertaining and educational... or is it the other way around?

My friend in high school back in the early 1960's bought an MGA because it was KOOL. Then every day he would come to school and tell us that he had to change the ___________ fill in the blank. Generator, starter, fuel pump, one of the gages, the brakes, headlight bulbs, etc. etc. He became a real expert on MG parts. Believe it or not, he loved that car.

Hey Jay! I missed you but got to speak to Jimmy about those water jackets being built on the Benz Mercedes, and I was sooooo excited to be able to talk to him about that even through the fence! You were busy filming a new episode, but that's OK, I later got you see you perform at the Flynn Theater in Burlington VT, near where I live! It was a perfect Post Deployment vacation! I have spent years watching your show and learning so much more about cars and history! When I got home I had to go and see LA and all it's automotive history! Even got the Petersen Museum Vault tour! Anyway, thank you for what you do Jay! Keep it up and I hope I can make it out there again to cruise the canyon roads again! @JayLeno

I’m surprised jay hasn’t made a modern steam car. With modern materials and electronics you really could make an amazing steam car these days. He’s done the jet car and the baker electric with modern electrics but now we need a steam car Jay.

What is the car number on that car? It is above the inside mirror. I was lucky enough to drive #4 and #47 and even get to do some work on #47 at the dealership I worked at. Used to have to go to the drivers home and clear the flooded engine with the hidden switch.

@@carmadme Very SMOOTH. The suspension was marshmallow soft which is the opposite of today. There was a little turbine whine but they wanted that. The exhaust was something you did not want to hold your hand under very long. Acceleration was not tire burning fast but did move out nicely when you pushed the little pedal down. The #47 had to have the "transmission" replaced and it was done at the dealership I was working at. Every guy in the shop was turning a bolt just to be able to say "I worked on a Chrysler Turbine. There is a starter override switch up under a control box left front. To clear a flooded engine (prevent a hot start) you would leave the ign switch off, hold the starter override switch in and spin it up until it was cleared. Then when you actually ignited it there were no mosquitos in the neighborhood. The people driving this one were not the most selectable ones to drive it. They did a lot of DO NOTS. Unless someone has Hijacked it, there is one at the Transportation Museum in St. Louis, MO. Mike "Turbine Mike" made a static display actually run by using parts from display turbines and making some. They take it/or did take it out for parades. It might be gone now as I have not visited the museum in several years. Heck, it could be the one Leno has. One of the Chrysler guys who oversaw the programs repairs was Alan Bradshaw. He was also instrumental with Dr. Nathan Ostich and his Flying Caduceus land speed record car.
