splurged on the professional model, prefer this guitar to my fender custom shop HSS, agreed that the pickups sound great especially within a band context, stands out in the mix, great video and playing...kudos to your enthusiasm and energy in the video!!!

I have the 012 budget model, god I love it so much, something about it, man. I even prefer its shape to all the fender strat-types

I'm going to try to give some really relevant criticism here. As the owner of an EVH Special with a compound radius neck, and the Pacifica Standard Plus, I can relate to what this guy is saying. The EVH is much easier for chords, and overall more comfortable neck. However it does not have stainless steel frets. The Pacifica does seem to "want" lead playing, with it's flat radius. It felt uncomfortable with chords, and feels a bit wide. Once you adjust however, it's fine. The pickups are nice and versatile. The floating bridge on the Pacifica was personally a BIG no for me. A lot of "warble" when palm muting. I decked it. Once I made the adjustments, I was much happier with it. It is a great value for money guitar. Would be perfect with a compound radius neck, but not worth the extra bucks for the Japanese version on my budget. Hope this helps someone. Happy playing.
