When I first heard this mixtape in the early 2000s, I was at at a record store in L.A. with my friend shopping for vinyls because I use be a DJ. I asked the cashier about the music he was listening to, and he just gave me a copy! I couldn't believe it was promo? I already new about J Dilla, but I didn't know then that he produced all these tracks! He was so underrated!
