DON'Ts : 1. Don't ditch your shampoo 2. Don't let your hair dry in a cotton towel 3. Don't style your hair on dry curls 4. Don't brush dry curls 5. Don't soak your curls to style them 6. Don't apply thick products on the roots of your hair 7. Don't over apply mousse nor pull it through your curls 8. Don't pull the denman brush downwards 9. Don't use your diffuser on high heat and start playing/ touching your curls while it's still wet 10. Don't pull your hair while diffusing it 11. Don't shake damp hair aggressively 12. Don't put your hair in tight buns, or brush your dry curls DOs : 1. Clean your scalp ( shampoo, condition, sea salt scrub) 2. Let your hair dry in a tshirt 3. Put your hair in a bun until it's damp 4. Brush your hair only when it's damp 5. Make sure your hair is damp but not dripping wet 6. Focus on your crown too 7. Strart small with products and apply from the mid lengths down 8. Use your denman brush BEFORE mousse, pull away from scalp 9. Scrunch your mousse into your curls 10. Use your diffuser after 10 minutes from styling your hair 11. Focus on roots in circular motions 12. After your hair is dry from the diffuser, lightly shake it to separate the curls 13. Softly separate curl clumps with your fingers 14. Gently shake your hair from roots only for more volume _____ LIKE THIS FOR EVERYONE TO SEE

They used to believe it was fuzzy, frizzy and messy looking because I *didn't* want brush it and they would make me brush it! It turned me into a tramautized fuzzball and I grew up hating my curly hair because it just looked horrible my entire childhood, especially when they would make sure I "brushed out the tangles.."

It's crazy how much I didn't know about taking care of my hair type. I was the only one in the family with curls when I growing up, so I was taught to take care of my hair the same way someone with straight or slightly wavy hair would. I just thought that the problem was my hair type, that the reason why my hair always looked so horrific was just because that's how my hair is. After watching your videos and other youtubers with similar curls, I know now that my hair isn't "unmanageable" or "difficult", it just takes different techniques to deal with it. It's definitely been a self-esteem boost to find out that my hair isn't "bad hair", like I thought my entire life! ♥️

(My friends swore off the satin pillowcase because their heads kept falling off of the pillow and they had neck pain for a while.) If it's happening during the day time, are you watching your collars and scarves? Wool scarf leads too more breakage. I was told to go with a slippery synthetic fabric in scarves/jackets to keep my back hair from tangling. I also keep the clasps of my necklaces off to the side instead of directly in the back for similar reasons... I hope this helps!

Then how to control frizz at the roots? I did all the steps and let it air dry but the end of curls looked amazing but the roots buffed like crazy
@mmm21214 жыл бұрын
I use a mousse that is designed for the roots which helped me a lot on controlling the frizz in my roots, you should try that too
@mmm21214 жыл бұрын
Also applying a little bit of conditioner on your roots while showering might help too, just not too much

This has helped me understand more about curly hair like urs. My boyfriends 6 year old son has curly hair. His mother hasn’t taught him about caring for curly hair. I want to learn all I can since I have straight hair, so I can help him learn when he spends time at his dads house. I’m going to get him some products and the correct brush to help him on his journey with long curly beautiful hair!

Not me doing everything you said not to. I have 3c/3b hair and I thought my roots were just meant to be looking dead and straight. But seeing the way it affected your perfectly curly and healthy hair is sooo helpful. Changing my styling ways rn!

I will also say that another important part of curly hair is having a good, dynamic cut. As you can see with her hair, she has a variety of layers in her hair, a mixture of short and long. I think this contributes a lot to definition and body in curly hair

Girl, I wish I had saw this before . It would had saved a lot of time and spared me of ages feeling that my hair wasn't beautiful or that I had to spend tons of money with expensive products to have my dream hair. I did your routine of do's with affordable products and my hair looks like I just came from the saloon ❤❤❤ thanks so much for sharing this

Okay but the result of her “don’ts” isn’t as great as her “dos” but like low key... it’s not terrible 😂 Still better than my normal hair lol

omg your curls are my goal !!! Next wash day I'm following your tips . I know I won't get the same results as I'm sure my hair is more type 2 with the odd type 3 curl hidden in there . but if I can get a better definition of my curls then I'm happy .

Ikr, i did the same mistake my entire life and i regret doing it. I love my curls now. I had really long hair but i straightened them 2 years back. I have cut those straightened hair but some are still left. I miss my hair length. I wish i hadn't done smoothening in the first place and endured my natural curls.

I have wavy hair but it has been blow dried straight my whole life. I'm 39 now and just started trying to figure out its natural style and holy crap, this is like rocket science 😩. I had been doing a routine from another KZbinr but was still having crazy frizz. I did some of these techniques this weekend and it was a game changer with the amount of frizz i had!! I got a ton of compliments on my hair. Putting the leave in on first was huge, I had followed the other woman's guidance of putting on curl cream first, but this was really helped cut back that frizz! The other thing that I think helped a ton was following this way of using the blow dryer.
