i hope one day women and men will be able to wear pants, skirts, makeup, big wigs, sparkles and no one will assign anything a 'boy' thing or a 'girl' thing. just think, 100 years ago women weren't supposed to wear pants! we have to realize that we need to keep doing what we're doing and progress happens in good and awful ways. there will always be a bit of pushback, but over time those people will die out and they won't be so offended. they want to stop progress of the human evolution experience. maybe not gain giant new appendages, but getting more emotionally in tune with our brains and become better humans.

Yeah she mentioned that before drag she thought she was a trans woman and lived as one for a bit too. That's why I hated that Maddy got so much flack. Like she's not posing as a queer person she has lived queer experiences her journey just ended with straight and cis. Gender and sexuality are a spectrum and if that ended with cis het that doesn't mean that was always the case.

Maddy's story is such a good example of the fact that it's good for everyone to go on a gender journey. Maybe you realize you're trans, maybe you realize you're cis, whatever, but everybody can benefit from a genuine contemplation of their relationship with their sex, their gender, their identity, etc. and what is authentic and what is the result of societal pressures.

something that i feel gets lost in drag nowadays (thanks to fast fashion, etc) is the making amazing garments out of absolutely nothing and i feel like it gives you such a deep foundation and i feel like maddy is so down to earth and i kinda love she worked her way up in the broke old school drag way :') theres nothing wrong with the newer and more accessible ways people do drag now but i have a preference and deep respect for literally making EVERYTHING yourself, whether you buy clothes and tear it up and upcycle or you make it completely from scratch. theres an incredible amount of dedication, patience, and ingenuity that comes with that that i just love
