Matt you are one tough guy. That looks like a very tough ride. I learned one thing from your video, Corsica he’s not a good place to ride the trike

The morning started out with a lot of traffic, an irate Corsican, but ended in beautiful mountainous Corsica. Pigs, Cows, and dogs are a lot better to deal with most times than people. Who would have expected a hail storm while wearing sandals? 😮 Keep on Triking!
@sstracener Жыл бұрын
“It’s big hail!” **picks up pea** /laughs in Texan. Biggest hail I’ve seen here was BASEBALL sized! Still not something I want to ride through if I can avoid it. 😁 Great video as always Matt!

Haha. Baseball size would have ended the tour. And my camera.

Glad to see my info on the local ruffians was unfounded and/or outdated - other than the annoyed drivers yelling at you, but that's kinda par for the course when cycle touring. The beautiful terrain makes me wish I was touring with you. :) Ja Yoe!

@@JaYoeNation yeah, the wife (and the internet) might have been referring to conflicts in the larger 'cities', which you pretty much stayed out of, or were not there for any length of time to notice. And the more I read, it was primarily between the pro-French, and not so pro-French. You certainly never got any closer to that than seeing graffiti. 😄 All in all, looked like a good ride. I mean you can't lose with free offers of wine and sausage, followed by rotisserie chicken! Ja yoe, indeed! 🍾🍗

If you make it to Sardinia, make sure you check out the SS125 road, definitely one of the most scenic I've done on a bike on 5 continents.

hi Matt.. my feet do the same when they get cold. I put several layers of paper towel in the bottom of the shoe, and put drops of olive oil on it with extremely light sprinkling of cayenne powder.. (very light)... monitor your feet and don't use too much cayenne, this gets blood flowing..
@JaYoeNation Жыл бұрын
interesting.. ill have to try that.

@@JaYoeNation remember just a small sprinkle.. too much can burn the bottoms of your feet. and monitor the a amout of time. an hour is about right.

Welcome to world cycling, by the way only ponchos work with Recombinant in rain, front zipper will never work. Rain hits you there straight on. Should try smaller island like Australia 😂..! Only 14% at times French famous for 18+% grade's maybe because was Italian Island first 😂..! All EU heavy rains this season way bike traveling goes..! Good luck keep enjoying.. PS the traffic circle is called a Roundabout..!

what does that sideways triangle graffiti symbol mean?

It means they should flatten all those damn mountains.

Thank you for this amazing trip. I spent my childhood in Corsica and it is a marvelous and unique island. The Corsicans are cold at first sight but they treat you like family if they know you a little. The triangle graffiti is the symbolized or schematized island of Corsica. The graffiti are written in Corsican. As you have probably seen, the Corsicans are very proud of their home...

Wow that rural road looks awesome! Not so much the towns... I mean they are quaint but traffic seems crazy there! Were you able to pick up any difference in culture from Corsica and Italy?

You are a good observer, the grafitis on walls and traffic signs pierced with bullets. The graffitis honor independentist militants and are anti french government. Corsican are montaign people, tough people. Across centuries invaders from all parts came from the sea.
