There is a genre of comedy known as the "Whitehall Farce" after the theater that staged them. Rather like this episode It involved people constantly jumping under beds or into wardrobes,or suddenly appearing through French windows. Actor Brian Rix made a career out of them.

You have to watch the rising damp episode things that go bump in the night the grey lady famous scene I was a kid when I watched it me and my dad were laughing are ass off so funny also you can see the cast are breaking character.
