The colorful panels are amazing, defintely worth another visit! Love the photos you took in this session Jay! The commentary on the favourites is a nice touch. Astia is my least used film simulation, because of this photowalk I would explore and experiment with it a bit more.

Thanks Kebs! I personally prefer Astia over Provia, but both would work fine, hope to see some Astia on your NoEdit series soon!

I’d choose the old man one too, nice one! And that multi color spot, definitely a spot worth camping at when people start coming out again! 📸

Do you just use the JPEGs out of camera? I love fuji colours and am considering getting an x100v just for the film simulations so I can spend less time in post.
@JayRegular
@JayRegular 3 жыл бұрын
It is completely possible to use Fuji photos straight of of camera with only the film simulations👍

Nice vid Jay, I like the format of POV and even review later on. The streets still look pretty quiet over there, I think whenever the restrictions get lifted here in London, we’ll all be pretty rusty

Yeh, it was partially my fault for choosing the wrong time to shoot, but schedule was tight and this was the only time I could be out so had to make do 😅 I definitely enjoy reviewing my photos at the end, think it might become a mainstay to this series

Hi Jay, your tutorial videos have been so helpful since I am a new fuji user :) Does your x100v get warm easily from normal shooting and use of the menus? And if so, does that affect your battery life? Thanks!
@JayRegular
@JayRegular 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Kelly thanks for taking the time to watch and learn from my videos. With regards to getting warm, yes, the x100v runs warm when turned on for an extended period of time, even navigating the menus. I don't think it would affect battery performance, in fact, very cold temperatures would make the batteries drain faster 😅

Gotta keep in practice. Challenging shoot w/so few folks around. 08 my fav for yellow sign contrast, graphic quality and composition. Might have missed interesting shot at about 7.5 min - alley w/sign saying “In” - worth a return look see. For multi-colored window, I think colors, not busy reflections make the image - when right-most yellow panel is cropped out - reduced to photogenic red, green, and blue primaries. Lady in alley shouts “subject cut-off” that, IMO, cancels out the rest. Escalator grays w/man workable w/some editing to bring out left side shadows; blue mask too small to attract attention - monochrome might be worth a try. Cheers!
@JayRegular
@JayRegular 3 жыл бұрын
It's a constant work in progress 😁 thanks for the feedback Paul, you have s good point about the multi coloured windows, keeping the primaries only would work better 👍

Great job as usual. I just bought the x100v myself. Seems like the ovf on my camera is having a pretty noticeable yellow tint/color compared to the evf. Is that normal?

How do I set back button focus?
@JayRegular
@JayRegular 3 жыл бұрын
Usually you would change your cameras focus mode to manual. Then when you press the AE-L/AF-L button located at the back of the camera, it should activate autofocus.
