Instead of trimming all the way up, assign the turbine to a switch. Flip the switch, slide the throttle...easy peasy. Also allows faster shutdown.
@rFlightFPV2 ай бұрын
Absolutely. Trim up/down is from way back in the days. Switch is way safer as you say especially for emergency shutdown.

Turbine rc sounds too good
@solarsynapse3 ай бұрын
SWEET! Love my Avanti. Better tape the hinge lines! Watch out for servos and control arms pulling out. They don't remove the paint to glue. The servos are metal shafts and the screws can fall out because there is no threadlock. If you have the flaps move all the way down, the servos can stall and stop moving. They will reset on their own. I wish the elevator linkage was aligned straight to avoid unnecessary elevator hinge stress. The left flap servo is still in the wrong place from a mistake in the original 2017 design. The V2 has the front strut a bit shorter and for grass should have been a bit longer. Smaller main wheels can help, but not as good on grass. Of course for us bush pilots, the front strut support is a must have.

Instead of turning the travel down in your transmitter, you should move the linkages in on the servo arms. Decreasing the travel in your transmitter hurts its resolution and the positioning accuracy of the control surfaces.

The Lambart T15 is the smallest model turbine. With a weight of only 200 grams and making 15N of thrust turning a cool quarter million rpm at wot.

Also why are you using trim up??? Simply assign trim to a switch? Makes startup and shut down simplified and makes much quicker emergency shutdown should it be needed.

I thought the Kolibri T25 was smaller. How about the Xicoy X45?
@Kraftei2 ай бұрын
You are right. Lambert Kolibri T-15 until T-35 is a bit smaller and lighter (length 150mm / P20 171mm Diameter 55mm / P20: 60mm. Weights (engine only) 255g (T-15) until 270g (T-35) Jetcat P20: 350 gramms) Xicoy X45 is as well a bit bigger (length / diameter: 165mm / 59,8mm, 395 grams engine, only) Good comparison between T-25HP and P20: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZyrkJiwf7ppfsk
