This video with your advice, step by step explanations and useful tips has been priceless. Watched it through a few days ago and now again today, once I got the camera in front of me, and I now feel like I'm getting to grips with the majority of it's features and functions ... which is great as opening it up for the first time and diving into all those menu pages is somewhat daunting. I liked the amount of info in this video, my one suggestion for the next update is to slow way down. This said it's a beginners guide, but the speed is so fast that as you quickly jump button to button there's no time to follow along with the amount of advanced details you give in each section. For example... In the menu button you drop down to the selections but never mention how to scroll from page to page under each section. Like the #1 option shows it has 1/12 pages to scroll through, but you just jump to how to change the different functions, but didn't show us how to scroll 2/12, 3/12, 4/12, etc. Just a thought, because I couldn't figure out how to move from page to page. Thank you for the info though, I did appreciate the parts I could follow along to.

My ZV-1 arrives tomorrow and it's great to know what's there, especially as in my experience Sony manuals use their own terminology and are not so easy to follow. But I guess I'll be using those scene settings at first until I'm ready to do the deep dive. Thanks for a super-human effort which will be essential viewing for a great many people.

When I try to record a youtube style head and part body video in intelligent auto, the footage continuously slowly changes from light to dark throughout the entire film. A friend says it is because I have many shiny books in the background, causing the ZV1 to be confused about what to focus on. I will be honest with my commend. You explain intelligently the different kind of featuress of this camera. I learn a lot, but sometimes I am confused because you are jumping from one features to another features which I think its impossible for the beginners to catch up especially those who is still wanted to learn the in and outs of this camera. Thanks for the feedback and I understand what you mean... I would recommend pausing the video and practicing with your camera as you watch the video. Maybe spread it out over a few days as you learn. The camera is so powerful and the features relate to one another in various ways depending on modes, so it is hard to make a video like this that is not a little confusing I would say...
