You look good Jay. . . . and I don't just mean physically. I'm glad you've finally done this and I hope it sticks. There is so much JAY content out there that anybody looking for more has got some serious binging to do before they can really get around to twiddling their thumbs and those of us that have been around since the mattress on the floor, eating when you got bike tips days well. . .we're not going anywhere and it's great to see you look so good.

I'm a bit late here - noticed you had "resurfaced" and had kept your vlog in my "watch later" section , as with a special drink you'd keep aside for the right moment. Really good to have you back ! Well done with your therapy and embracing life to the fullest again. Well done with sharing your experience so openly as well. This resonates particularly with me as i went through a bit of a similar rough patch - quite comparable in many ways and at the same time as you. The end of restrictions in the UK ( 3months of continued lockdown earlier this year!) and the return to social life and traveling has had a major impact in bringing me "back to life". I'm in a much better place now as well. Life is good ! Thank you for the inspiration and the good vibes !

Jay, Just want to say that you are a legend. I've been watching your videos for ages and day dreaming about a new life. Well you've inspired us to sell everything and move out of the USA to Portugal and to Vlog. Love the vibe in your early videos with DJ quads and did something similar in our videos. And like you I also got covid. So I'm in bed and going to catch up on some of your videos (versailles etc), we are hoping to make it to Paris maybe in early December and see some of these amazing places that we have been watching on your channel for years. Be safe - Michael (tourabunga).

Thanks Tim! Turns out there are a lot of unseen pressures pushing us toward "being productive" instead of just living our lives. A few of us just miss your “Paris” vlogs, where you just show “life” in Paris, your life in Paris, not a fly by vlog but a story, say a market or the gardens ( thxs for the footage with the luxemburg gardens in the background, by the way) we still cannot travel or shall we say that for now we “choose” to not travel great distances ,due to safety reasons even though we are fully vaccinated, life has changed for many people, specially the people over 50. Two of our trips to Paris got cancelled last year ( Yes 2 trips), some money was lost, hopes were drowned, plans disappeared, we all questioned what we were all about.?…. But we still miss Paris. Thxs for coming back.

Just do you Jay! You come first and your family before anything else, and following that simple notion Will get you to figuring things out. I personally have gone through an awful lot physical and mental pain the past few years over a bad ending to a long relationship and went into self destruct mode and it was very much based around not realizing my self worth.... Which took an exhaustive amount of time to finally figure out was the real reason for my problems. In the end of that horrible chapter which was recently I have taken a step back, slowing myself and my life down to just rest and reset. Getting back to focus on my health and well being is the best thing to do and I'm glad you have done something similar in your quest for happiness and well being! I unfortunately became very depressed and made stupid mistakes that severely hindered my progress for awhile and I can't get that time back but I can learn much from it and slowly reset and move on. We are all going through something and we can all learn from each other and improve. Love what you're about and ik you will get to where you want to be man!

Happy you are doing better. Stress sucks that is for sure. Sometimes rebooting is the only way to get things to work again. I just booked my tickets to come to Paris in December with some friends. I’m doing a river cruise but starting in Paris a few days early. So I’m going to go back and watch some videos to make sure I can make sure I don’t miss some stuff. Continue to be well. We are obviously here to support your journey. Since your journey always smiles on my face as well as many of your followers. 🥰😎

Do you have his Guide? It has tons of helpful info that we used on our trip. I love that it's sectioned off into arr. And it has tons of food and coffee spot options.

I've just had 8 weeks enforced rest after major surgery and it gave me lots of time to think - not necessarily a good thing for an anxious mind ! Turns out I made some big decisions during that time as to what i want my life to be. Hi from subtropical Australia!

Thanks, Jay, looking good and rested. Thanks for the update from Paris, too, and the beautiful editing. It's like being there, I really enjoyed it. Focus on what you want to do, I'd say, like the story telling. So much to say about Paris! and all the everyday life stuff too. Life is good, and you need your health to enjoy it. Take care of the ones you love, like you say. Now that is a good work ethic.. It is a lot to know who you are, what you want and then to do it. Hopefully we all find a way. Thanks for helping show the way. Cheers

Thanks for the update. I suspect that most of us have a lot to learn from you. Life is better as a human being rather than a human doing. You inspire me to a new level of self reflection. Why do we have to "earn a living"? We need to be able to support ourselves financially but we are"living" until we die. That is the natural order of things. The question is what do I do with the "living". To live is not exclusively to work or to be non-stop "productive". I think "living" also needs periods of observation, periods of rest--stopping, being still.

Thank you Sherrie - I feel like there are a lot of us on this journey of figuring out how to live in the midst of a society that treats and values us more as cogs. I hope that I can be of some use to anyone else on the journey who finds me =D I know I need all the help I can get haha

@@JaySwanson I think we all need to realize that this not a new issue. For most of history most people only had the value that their physical labor gave them. This ancient value system has become more sophisiticated as labor has become more diverse & sophisticated. The question is really how can we as individuals stop buying into this system? You are not alone in needing help. You do demonstrate however a willingness to ask for & then accept that help which is still a huge issue for so many of us, myself included. I am happy to be able to help others, not much good at asking for or graciously accepting help.
