As much as I enjoyed Elite Dangerous and No Man's Sky, limiting the size and scope of the game while adding more detail does seem appropriate especially for an RPG.

I definitely agree with you guys that id much prefer more details and unique environments. But too be fair his requirements seemed pretty low for unique areas. Two areas literally had to be exactly the same to be considered non unique. Which doesnt mean much honestly.

People will soon realize the reason they put so many planets was not only for the upcoming dlc but also the modders to make their own unique planets and storylines

Planets are not explorable. The moment I saw this this game died for me. What this game does is very deceiving. If you land your ship it creates a fish bowl around you. Imagine creating a new tile set in Minecraft every time you land. The moment you load a new tile set, after a new landing, the old gets deleted. What that basically means planets serve zero purpose in this game. You cannot explore them. Stick with no man's sky. I can land everywhere in this game, run around the entire planet, build bases and have zero loading screens. This is another Bethesda scam.

I bought the premium edition so I got to play early and I can 100% say I’ve never been more excited to get back into a game and play it for a really long time since the division 1, most video games I decide to play I get bored with within an hour or an hour and a half. It should be noted: The *fast travel system* can also be *semi-immersive* = pull up your *scanner* and point the cursor/controller at the desired location (given it's a fast travel place) and press E = boom, it highlights the location and a prompt is given to the player of fast travelling there WITHOUT using the map and breaking your immersion totally

@@SPISheste Your logic is flawed. I can't just press F, then point my ship's nose at Porrima for example, while I am in Alpha Centauri. Only local system planetary bodies and quest objectives outside the system are present on the scanner. Therefore the scanner is not an "alternative" to fast traveling, because it doesn't allow me to go wherever I want. The map is the only way to fast travel anywhere.

Okay one thing.... why is the combat A.I still shitty... are you kidding me. Years of development and i already know the A.I is going to be the same as in for example fallout 4. I would say hopefully they improve it but you already had years to work on this. Modders will improve it a bit making them use grenades more and stuff like that and be more aggresive. F4 had a great mod like that. And then hopefully the A.I gets fixed but man that is such an important thing to nail. If enemies are dumb, then why would i feel the need to get better weapons or better skills? uhg...

I think people need to stop making excuses for the shortcomings of this game and just admit that it is a negative aspect. Stuff like no vehicles, no surface to orbit travel, actually no meaningful space flight, tons of copy and paste events, and cutscenes for simple transitions can't just be something you can tell people to accept as the "Starfield experience". It's not good for game criticism and its not good to set such a low standard for a game from a AAA developer in 2023. Not to mention the hardlocks, softlocks, and general bugs that are being reported in this game. The BGS bias is just oozing from this video.

Is it bad that we have to rely on the community to make mods that should've been in the game in the first place?? I'm stll ambitious about the visible weapon holster idle (on casual outfits) on a DLC but most definitely it will be a mod instead.

Looks like not space enough, the planets are not orbiting by themselves, just stayed still on a 2D map. Also, you can't maneuverl between planets as you like, just a quick animation, this is too simplified, kind of disappointed

For me this game looks great as of now but for it being a space game it’s missing the space feeling of actually being able to fly into planets and being able to travel where u want manually. They just made everything a cut scene which i absoluetely hate. My opinion on this might change as i play the game myself but as of now it seems very stupid to me that it’s supposed to be AN OPEN WORLD SPACE game and was ADVERTISED that way but u can’t really do anything «space like» like traveling where u want without constantly seing a cutscene. Really hope some mods in the future will be able to fix this issue. I feel like Jedi fallen order had a good fix for this instead of just cutscenes. When u were traveling to another planet u would have to wait a minute but u would be able to Walk around in ur ship while u see that ur traveling through hyperspace.

I honestly think the downsides, not being able to traverse an entire planet, not being able to land on a planet from space to ground, fly in atmosphere etc. Don't matter much in the end. Sure, it'd be cool to fly in atmosphere, land, get out and walk around the entire planet. But that's a.... one or two time thing and then you're like "ughhh, where's fast travel?" At least, generally. Once you're 30-40 hours into a 200-300 hour game, you're not doing crap like that anymore, short of being a completionist (good luck in this game bud, hah) So I think it definitely is held back by Bethesda's tech. Their engine is shit, always has been, and always will be. Will only fall further behind as time moves on. Truly blows my mind they have put a team on developing their next gen engine yet. But, it really doesn't hold the game back. You're not randomly running around random planets that often. The vast majority of content, the content worth doing, is in cities and their outlying areas.

One thing I noticed, and this is a preference thing, Rockets basically liked like a slightly slower and smaller laser burst (maybe with a different color?). I personally would've preferred something a bit more missile-like with a smoke trail so it's a bit more destinguished. Also I usually prefer if the missile arcs in a bit near the end of the trajectory.

It would take a healthy human being nearly *2 years* to walk once around our planet Earth (at 12 hrs constant walking each & every day). Since that's not realistic, make that 3 years or more of doing nothing but walking & sleeping & keeping up your bodily functions. I don't think that would be very entertaining in a video game. 😁

Space travel and planet exploration seems like a juiced up version of how mass effect did it, which im not mad at. Each planet being its own complete open world would have been expecting too much let alone asking for the entire universe to be one. Seems like the maps are still pretty expansive and it doesn't seem like it holds you back too much.

@@thirdtooth4069yeah, honestly I'm disheartened by a lot of the things. The thing I loved most about elder scrolls and fallout was seeing something way in the distance and trekking over there to see what it is. With the invisible boundary and POIs so far apart.... It doesn't really have that for me. And it looks like there's mostly one or maybe two major POIs in each landing zone. I was also looking forward to manually traveling between solar systems in the deep of space

@@spencercorpuz yeah. The potential I had imagined in exploring the planet's sounds like it's not quite realized. I am hearing great things about the quests though, so it sounds like this is more of an RPG game vs an open world exploration game.

I can definatly se ppl getting annoyed with the no master storage box like FO4 workbench but personally i think this may actually be a better system for gameplay and immersion. In FO4 u dident care what u picked up for the most part and every weapon, armor and junk item u dident wanna use at that moment just got jammed into that workbench to the point that u hade no ide what u even hade in there. It makes sense that if u wanna store raw material to build things with that u know where it is and how mutch u got so u wanna keep some things seperated. In FO4 u hade so mutch shit in that workbench that u very rarely dident have the items required for building. In fact u never actually hade the correct raw material in that workbench so the game hade to instead scrap random items in there to provide u with those raw materials. So the gameplay to build went like this. throw everything u come across into this workbench and when u think u have enough just start to build like your in free mode. Many players know what item gave what in FO4, but how many of u could actually say what items and how many got scraped in the process of building your settlements?

Giving the game 14 days early is not a sign of 'confidence' in the game, the game creators aren't the ones that require confidence in the game, the consumer requires confidence. Allowing people to play the game early has nothing to do with confidence, companies always send their games early to people for reviews, hell Cyberpunk people played early and look at the shite that game had, a lot of games allow people to play early, this has nothing to do with confidence about the product, the pre pay purchase early is about getting your money before you have the ability to watch 'reviews' and make an informed decision about buying, the embargo on reviews will cost the company money as people who would normally buy early on the back of reviews will not purchase early on the back of 'hype alone' as they wait for the reviews and as the reviews come late people will just say well its already released, its not an MMO it's only a single player game it doesn't matter when I start or finish the game, there is no showing off to ya mates with the gear or weapons or what your spaceship looks, there are no 'MUST DO' now events to miss out on, the game looks okish but they will wait 5 days and only buy the standard edition, great fail on marketing a game that looks like it was made 15 years ago. Bugs: Your graphic card could be the cause of the bug and not the game itself, old out of date drivers for your GPU that causes some bugs. No matter what game it is even after 20 years of updates/fixes/patches there still are bugs and you will get bugs, people with Nvidia may find more bugs than another GPU... How many times have you fallen through a floor or ran through a wall after they have said, that bug is fixed...
