I think I'm going to buy the season pass (164 reais). The dollar is costing 5.31 reais, 25 dollars is 132.75 reais. I can't take the risk of having to pay 265 reais in a dlc, which would be the price for buying separately (not to mention that the dollar will go up even more)

130? Dude I’ve got 290 hours in and I’m still not even done with it. I’ve still got Hamtinscire, Winchester, and Suthsexe to do. I’m at like 325 power lvl. I worked on some of these WOTD missions and then did a lot of the other shit beforehand like the isle of skye add-on. I don’t wana get everything at the very end of the game that’s literally completely pointless. The whole point is to PLAY the game using all that content. I’m in the same boat as you there. I got odin’s spear fairly early (thanks glitch) and then got the Excalibur next. The Thegn set with Excalibur is my oh shit setup, You wreck everything with it.. But I’ve also got so much time in it because I’ll fall asleep and shit with it still on lol. But I’d still have 200+ hours on it regardless at this point. I haven’t even done any of the siege of Paris stuff yet. I’m about to go start on it just to get the reaper suit because it’s sick af. Then I’ll come back to England and finish gettin Thor’s armor. Then I’ll finish the game. Then do the rest of Druids and start on Paris.

Yes! So many toxic gatekeepers in the AC community. I really appreciate you saying this and J's videos. As someone new to the AC franchise who started on Odyssey, I knew the basic concept of the universe ( the three main groups in the story the Brotherhood, the Templars and the Isu, the science fantasy elements, the present day connection, etc) and I loved it especially the Isu side, it reminded me of Tomorrow People where there were humans scattered around the world with alien genetics that make them more advanced in evolution. I liked that there was this third party to give us this look at the Brotherhood and Templars from the outside. Then I am met with ridicule for liking 'a trash game, that completely ruins what the game means' by an overwhelming amount of AC fans. It took me a while to find a good AC channel like this one and I am thankful that it's here.

The sickle sword argument is so stupid, who is actually saying it’s recycled content? I can’t believe that, that’s like saying the milanese sword from AC II is the same as it is as a legacy item in odyssey. I agree with the stealth problems, but it's not isolated to this dlc. My biggest pet peeve is that chain attacks often alert enemies, so I just avoided using them unless they I was 100% sure no other enemy would see it. Maybe it's more realistic, but it basically makes stealth a bad gameplay style.

As an Irishman who studied some ancient Irish history in university there is no evidence that there was a high king of Ireland, there were kings/chieftains who called themselves that and had poets call them that in songs as a form of propaganda and to boost their egos. There were kings, over-kings and kings of over-kings, they paid a tribute to the king above them in the likes of cattle etc. There is also no evidence of a centre of power at the Hill of Tara, only in mythology.

I still haven't played "Wrath of the Druids", but I gotta tell that I got it in a reasonably good price on PC! On uPlay season pass was already down 25% from its original 39,99€ price to 29,99€. I love the 100 u-coins system on uPlay so I got extra 20% down thanks to that. Ultimately, the season pass only cost me 23,99€ (I got the base game in similar way, only cost me around 37€) ^^ Despite the games obvious shortcomings, I've already put around 160 hours on Valhalla and I can't wait to return to its world!
@babayaga43203 жыл бұрын
I think 15 hours is actually very good for $25. Just for a recent example, RE Village is right around 13 hours on average, so about the same, but it's a $60 game. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying this expansion is of the same quality as REV, I'm just going along with the same money/game length comparison you made, and if you think you'll enjoy the content 15 hours is well worth $25.
@jayveeeee3 жыл бұрын
I think that’s veryyyy different because this is technically not just $25 for 15. This DLC requires the base game. So that to me means you have to consider you spent retail price for the base game. To experience this you are paying a premium no matter what. And $25 for 15 more hours on top of $60 (or less if on sale) for 100+ is... hard to justify even for someone like me who would pay $60 for an extremely high quality 8 hour game. On top of this, you mentioned RE Village. I don’t consider Valhalla to be a top shelf quality game where the hours spent lines up to a game like Village. The quality isn’t there like it is for something more polished, that goes for most open world-y type games in my book. I just think this is expensive any way you slice it. DLC is not cheap for Ubi to make. They have to charge this much to turn a profit. It’s more complicated than 15 hours for $25 bucks to me.

Yeah, thats about it I think. Just wanted to point that out I guess. Edit: I agree with your video (if I can?), and also we have an explanation for what the cursed symbols are supposed to do! People have sent out tickets and all they got back was some BS 'Be patient.' excuse and this DLC BS it pushed out. So many of can't even finish the game b/c of this GAME BREAKING problem.

The DLC is all filler, I’m a season pass holder and if you’re thinking about getting this I would say focus on the main game. The story is just an Irish fantasy, no assassins, “hidden ones” or templars so it’s a waste of time

The whole time I was playing I was really hoping that building up Dublin would somehow play a role in the story itself....and it just never did. You get it all the way to level 5 and nothing even happens. None of the side missions seem to really matter at all. I'm sick of that. Maybe I'm just spoiled because when Witcher 3 did it it was amazing.

I'm hoping the next dlc will have a decent chunk of Templar vs Assassin content considering time, setting, characters and lack of that content in the main game and the dlc.

14 hours ???? Do any reviewers actually take the time to just muck about and explore ? The scenery in Valhalla is gorgeous and you can spend endless amounts of time just riding here and there, sticking your nose into things (and murdering a lot of NPC's). People are in such a damn hurry and it's a shame. This game gets so much hate but if you spend the time you'll realize that it has sooooo much to offer.

Can’t wait to see all the complaints about it It gave me assassin‘s creed Odyssey bloodline DLC feelings, It made me question what I could’ve done different even though I couldn’t do anything And another thing, with the whole trading system I was hoping we would get some more weapons that we know good and well from other games, not brand new weapons but weapons that they have already made and are spread across places like Egypt

Took me about 12 hours to complete everything the longest time that I spent on one thing was fishing for the bloody sturgeon for the offering, wish it was longer & they could of made the whole of Ireland as the DLC instead of just part of it. I enjoyed playing it but was a bit disappointed after the issues of getting it as Season Pass owners like myself couldn’t play it for at least 12 hours after it released

The new Greek cloak featuring an assassin insignia annoys me considering that no effort was made to further an assassins story in this dlc (while I would have preferred an assassin story I do think that the lack of it here helped to make the dlc’s story less convoluted by forcing assassins or templars into it) but I’m not a fan of ubi pretending to care or pretending to be making assassin stories by featuring the odd insignia every now and then or using the order checklist feature. It feels disingenuous to the fans that stick around for the assassin lore.

It was nice i really enjoyed it,but as with everything it could be better.I mean if they had made it more historically accurate and also if they had included halfdan's death which was caused by barid.Also i play unity alongside this DLC and i would prefer the towns to have more populace,especially in the second war camp that flan was there were 5 soldiers i mean it was ridiculous,it ahould have at least forty and then it would feel more like a war camp.Hope Ubi will try to improve such things in the next games to come.But in general for the viking era lovers it's an amazing game i have played 150 hours and haven't been bored yet.Also waiting for the Paris DLC,if Ubisoft play it's cards right this one has the potential to be epic

It’s funny to hear someone complain about a 20+ hour content piece costing $25. Specifically for a game that is really AAA in almost every aspect of it. There are over hyped budget games that cost $25 and have much less content that no one complains about. It is a weird criticism that really only gets thrown at these big franchises.

I still had so much fun, however sibce i already had my fair share of doing what a king wants and just doing what they want you to do, i didnt like that in the dlc. Wait til this add ons cost $9.99 cause that’s how much this game should cost! AC Origins was the last original concept then ODYSSEY to Valhalla Ubisoft got lazy & started copy & pasting. 🤦♂️
