You are right about a moment in time. I was 32, been married for13 years with two children and rushing in the mall to find a pay phone to call my husband. No mobiles in those days. suddenly this guy stood in front of me to stop my forward motion and said “ you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.” I merely ducked around him and continued on my way. I just remember him as tall and in a business suit, white shirt and tie along with that comment. Never forgotten the lovely moment of nice words.

That’s just my complaint Sue, Javon has it wrong. He is NOT a one hit wonder here. I am in Canada and have been a fan of his from day 1. I own most of his albums. Wisemen, Sun On Sunday, Best Laid Plans, Always Hate Me and I’ll Take Everything are some deep album cuts that are absolute favorites of mine. It actually irked me when he said one hit wonder. I think what he did was assume he was a one hit wonder because he had never heard of him before. Trust me, he is NOT. I saw James open for Ed Sheeran a few years ago here in Toronto. Dream come true for me to see both guys in one night.

James does have a voice that captures you and writes lyrics that can haunt. Not many youtubers have reacted to the ‘ Monsters’ song and video. I thought it was very brave of those that did and allowed us to witness their raw emotions. I cried along with all of them. It’s just so relatable 😔

You should watch his video of the song 'Monsters' which is about his father who was very ill with kidney disease. It is very sad, although his father managed to get a transplant. Also watch the video he does showing health workers during the pandemic with the song 'The Greatest'. I am sure you would love both of them. He also has a cracking sense of humour and to all the people who have a go at him on Twitter etc he comes back with a witty remark.
